Its classic design makes it a good launching point for mild or extreme customization. By adding original or custom built Softail parts found in specialty shops online, you can create a truly custom yet classic bike that will stand out in the crowd.

Classic Softail Parts

America's true fascination with motorcycles and its culture of freedom really kicked into gear in the 1950's with the Harley Davidson Softail. Harley brought back this nostalgia in 1997 when Harley released its Heritage Softail Classic. If you're looking to add some classic features to the look of your bike, try combining some classic Softail parts like fishtail exhaust pipes and 5" running lamps with other modern elements to create a truly custom look and feel.

New Softail Parts

Harley released 6 new Softail models with a variety of engineering and design updates. Some of the new Softail parts include 49mm forks, the 6 speed Cruise Drive transmission, and a 200mm rear tire and fender. In addition to these new Softail parts, Harley Davidson will offer 8 new paint options and color combinations in 2006.

Building a custom Softail from the ground up

If your goal is to build a completely customized Harley Softail, parts are abundant and easy to find on the internet. You can find enough of a variety of Softail parts to rebuild an entire chopper from the chassis to the gas tank mount, either staying true to the bike's original design or making alterations to create your own style.

Classic Softail Accessories

To create a look with a smart blend of classic style and cutting edge modern design, try working in some classic Softail parts and accessories like the classic style grips and foot pegs, chrome handlebar risers, or headlamp. Combine this with a slick paint job, a wide tire kit, and a modern wheel design.

The Softail is a great motorcycle to customize because of its classically bold features that work well with today's more edgy design. The Rapid Rise Of Poly Rainwater Tanks

Poly rainwater tanks are fast becoming the most popular choice for rainwater tanks sold in world today. The popular move towards poly rainwater tanks has been due to several contributing factors. The main reasons for the increased interest in poly rainwater tank are their resistance to corrosion, speedy fabrication times and long life span. Because of the high demand for poly water tanks, thousands of rotational molding companies have sprung up all over the world to cope with the enormous demand from the poly water tank market.

Most Poly rainwater tanks are made using the rotational molding process or the less common plastic welding process. Poly tank welding is a process in which two pieces of heat-softened poly are joined through the application of pressure. Examples of this process are hot air and extrusion welding.

Poly rainwater tanks are basically used to store drinkable water and are highly utilized in the rural and urban markets.

Poly rainwater tanks differ in size and capacity and are available in many colours, ranging from small tanks holding a one hundred litres to water tanks greater than 45,000 litres.

Rainwater tanks used for storage water are made from a wide variety of poly chemicals. Poly is the abbreviation for Polyethylene (PE), a light, chemically- resistant thermopoly, is the most commonly used poly resin. Polyethylene resins include linear high density (HDLPE), cross-linked high density (XLPE) and linear low density (LLDPE) resins.

Poly rainwater tanks have several advantages over the customary steel water tanks. Their seamless construction provides them with greater impact strength and superior resistance to corrosion. These virtually unbreakable water tanks have a longer lifespan than steel tanks, which can rust through and leak. Poly rainwater tanks are fast and easily manufactured. Poly rainwater tanks also cost less overall than steel tanks.

Poly rainwater tanks are the most conventional, economical, most widely used water tank bought these days

The advantages of installing a rainwater tank are many and apart from being able to provide for all of your non essential water usage needs you also ensure that your home becomes more environmentally friendly. The water you harvest off your roof can be used for flushing toilets, washing clothes and watering your gardens. You can reduce the demand on the mains water therefore helping to conserve our ever dwindling water supplies. Imagine the benefits to the environment if every home installed a water tank.

There are now other benefits of installing rain water tanks in your home such as generous government rebates now available to residents. Local and federal governments in some countries have introduced incentives for people to install water tanks. In Australia rebates of up to $1500 are available in you install a water tank and connect it to a toilet, washing machine and your garden taps. And did you know that rainwater is actually less salty than dam water and for that reason it is much better for your plants and your appliances.
The other benefit of owning a rainwater tank means that you will never have to worry about.

How do you know if your fish tank is strong enough to hold water?

May seem like a silly question, but heres the deal.
I just bought a used 35 gallon hexagon aquarium and although it holds water now, it just seems like it looks like it might break. We had to re-caulk some of the areas where the glass fits together, and the tank doesn't appear like it was well taken care of...? I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment building, and i'm frightened it might break one day and water will go everywhere. Is that likely? How do I know it will hold? What precautions can i take?

Also, the stand is hollow on the inside, as in, the tank part itself sits on the edges of the stand. Should it be more like a table and support the full bottom?
it looks like it was sitting outside for a while.

If you recaulked some of it...why not recaulk all of it? You can rub your finger along the old seems. If the silicone feels hard or brittle don't trust it. If the silicone is smooth and kinda' gummy, it might be ok. If you have a balcony just set it out there for few weeks w/ water in it. Or anywhere else you find that is "flood friendly."

As long as the stand sits flat on the floor, and the tank sits on it "Level", with no leaning going on..it should be fine.

Think tank sees Aquino victory, warns of tough job ahead
There is now only a slim chance that no winner will be proclaimed after the May 10 elections but the presidency may not prove to be a light crown to wear for front-running presidential candidate Senator Benigno Aquino III, according to the US-based think tank Global Source.
