They began by building Go-Peds in their Pleasanton California garage for friends and family that just had to have one and it blossomed from there. Knowing the market opportunities were endless for their fun and safe, carefree design, the Patmont family secured a patent and began shopping their invention around to purveyors of yachts and personal aircraft as a light and portable alternative transportation device to extend transportation choices for various commuting and recreation uses. The Patmont family introduced the patented Cantilevered Independent Dynamic Linkless Indispension (C.I.D.L.I.) in 2005. This revolutionary yet simple and extremely effective suspension system redefined the portable transportation market once again. Off-road enthusiasts and those simply wishing for a more comfortable ride can also experience the amazing benefits of these practical and portable Gopeds. Today Patmont Motor Werks is the world leader in personal transportation and proudly produces the world's finest portable transportation devices out of it's "enlarged garage," a 70,000 square foot state-of-the-art production facility in Minden, Nevada. The Patmont family has kept PMW strong by constantly innovating new and improved products. In addition to an excellent selection of scooters and carts, the introduction of the ESR750 pure electric GoPed scooter line in 2003 offers a zero emission transportation device for those wishing to reduce climate change, their carbon footprint, beat the rising prices of fossil fuel, and foreign oil dependence. |

How to Successfully Prepare for RC Car Racing
RC or radio controlled car racing is the most thrilling part of the radio control car world. RC car racing brings excitement, whether you're driving against the kid next door or competitively on and off road track.
If you're going to race competitively, there are some steps you can take to prepare for the race to help you win. First you need to select its high errors correctly. The tires you choose must be matched to the surface, you will be doing the RC car racing on. Take a little time and do some research on the types of tires that your competitors and the better racers use. It can be difficult to perfect the right combination of tires and inserts for your RC car. New gadgets come on the market often, stay away for now. Stick with the tires and inserts that you know work for you and that your competitors try the new tires out first. Dan learn from their experiences.
Any unlikely event you are an able to find out what other races are using, there are some guidelines you can follow to select your tires. If you're racing on asphalt with foam tires, purple compound tires on all corners worked nicely. If you're racing on the carpet with foam tires, try using plaid compound upfront and use the purple compound on the back tires.
It is amazing, but psychology also plays a role in a successful race. For example, it is good practice to arrive at the track early. By doing so, you sure as your fellow racers that you're serious and are willing to work hard in order to win. There are others that make it a habit of being the first one at the fact before the gates even open for the race. When you are early, you have plenty of time to set up your pit area. You can also charger batteries for practice and tie up any loose games before beginning your practice runs.
As well, help set up a track if they need it. The faster they can put up the track, the faster you get to practicing. We arrived late, it penalizes you because you are not getting as much practice time. It will affect your familiarity with the track. Just leave the arriving late up to your competitor. Use any advantage that you can get.

Car Kits... Are they an investment, a love affair (money pit), worth it, do-able?!?
How bout a Shelby Cobra 400+HP blue with fat white racing stripes up the middle. Just enough room for you and your sweety? (Any room for a dog in the back? I'm thinking nooo.)
Definitely not an investment as someone else said, you won't ever see the money you put into it again, not even at sale. It is a money pit becuase you're not going to get it right on the first try, you may miss something, damage something, strip a bolt, etc. It's not a big deal, it's just that with such a laundry list of things to assemble and finish, you're bound to miss one or two things that will require a pro's help at one point or another.
It's definitely doable, and depending on what you think about cars and how much work this will take to complete, it's DEFINITELY worth it. Believe me, once you fire up the engine for the first time, or stand back and start to picture the paint and the wheels all coming together, you'll wonder why you haven't done it sooner. But, again, believe me, you WILL mess something up, you WILL curse the car out more than once, you WILL consider not finishing it, and you WILL question why you ever started the project.
It's a love affair, but when it's all over, you'll feel like $1,000,000.
