The warm weather that the summer brings means that it is time to get out and enjoy the outdoors. One of the best ways to do that with your kids is to do something that involves water. Any toddler loves to run and splash in any body of water; be it a kiddie pool, lake, river or bathtub! A great activity to do with your kids is to build an awesome boat that they can either float in a standing body of water or race on a river.
To get started making your boats you will need to take a trip to the local craft store to check out the Amaco products. Here you will find anything and everything that they will need to put together a boat they can be proud of. One of the easiest boats you can make is one with a flat bottom. Check out the different shapes of flat pieces of pine wood that the craft store has in stock. You can find circle, oval, rectangle, square and other random shapes to choose from. Have your child pick out their favorite shape to begin.
Once you have picked out the base for the boat it is time to start building up. This is where the craft store will really shine. There are so many different things that they can choose from to put on their boats they won't know where to start! Consider making a rule to their boat making, such as that it has to only be made of things that are made from wood or Amaco clay. This will really narrow down the number of aisles that they can go down. If you have a son that is really into trains, you could find a circle or oval shaped piece of wood and a wooden train kit to put on top. He could then paint the train his favorite color blue and the base of the boat a green to signify the grass. Your child might also really be into anything that bears her name, so take her down the aisle that has the paper mache letters. She could spell her name in fun colors on her boat.
The finished product should be something that will catch your attention, so this means brightly colored paints! For a waterproof finish, look no further than the acrylic paints. Acrylic paint won't wash off when you put it in the water, so it is great for the environment. Once your children have finished the Amaco ceramics for their boat and put them together it is time to test them out! Your children will delight in seeing their masterpieces floating on the lake or racing on the river. With just a few hours time you have put together quite the craft!

Camping at Nascar Races
If you are a fan of the races, you have probably at least entertained the thought of camping out at the race with other anticipating race fans. There is something about the vibe when camping at a NASCAR race that can't be beat, especially for those die hard fans out there that are truly thrilled b y it all. Getting NASCAR tickets is one thing, but actually having the opportunity to be on the infield as the race is going on is a unique experience in itself, one that no real race fan should have to live without having experienced.
There are different types of camping that can be done at a NASCAR race. Most people have RVs that they like to camp with because they can hook them up and be able to use the water, the facilities, and have electricity in the camper. There are also camping sites for NASCAR races that do not offer hook ups at all, although many of these facilities will make other arrangements for you to dispose of your waste and get clean water. Of course, there is always the option of camping in a tent and that is often the favorite option amongst those who would rather do things simply. Whichever method of camping you choose should not be hard to accommodate.
Why Bother Camping at NASCAR Races?
Many people who travel to NASCAR don't see the point in camping, and the truth is that it is not for everyone. There are many people who make a tradition out of traveling to races like the Coca Cola 600 and the Daytona 500 and camping with a huge group of friends and associates. Then there are people who fly to town and stay in luxury suites; obviously the latter group might not appreciate the experience. There is a camaraderie to be had at camp sites that goes well with the vibrant NASCAR atmosphere.
Camping at NASCAR Is One Big Party
People choose to camp at NASCAR rather than get a room or stay at a bed and breakfast because of the type of experience it offers. It is a great way for a lot of people who are interested in one thing to get together and celebrate it. There is often drinking, cookouts, parties, games, activitiesyou name it, it is done at a NASCAR campout. It is a good place to bring little ones who you want to enjoy the races with you and teach them how to have some good, wholesome fun.
Where to Camp at NASCAR
Depending on what race you are attending and what track you will be at, there are several different places to camp. Some tracks allow camping on the infield only, while some tracks allow camping inside the track and outside it as well. Other places have campsites very close to the track that are designated for camping NASCAR fans as well, so the venue can change accommodations from place to place and race to race. Check with your race in advance so that you can reserve a spot, and let your friends and loved ones know in advance, especially if there is a distance to be traveled to the race itself.
Something to keep in mind about camping out at NASCAR races is that the more popular the race is and the bigger of a deal the event is, the harder it is going to be to get a space. Sometimes, they require that you reserve a camping space a year in advance or more and that is a bit too long for some people. A lot of things can change in a year, but usually the cost of reserving the space is not too much to ask to have the space reserved when demand for it is going to be so high once the event rolls around.
Camping at NASCAR takes organization. It takes planning, and most of all it takes the will to have a good time. There should only be one rule at a NASCAR camping event and it should be that non race fans and party poopers are not allowed!

#1 - (I am not too sure of this) The chemical energy obtained by consuming food is present in the form of glucose in the blood. Cells in the body (specifically the mitochondrion) oxidizes this glucose using oxygen and in the process releases water and a small amount of heat. During a race, the rate of oxidization is faster and hence more heat is liberated...
#2 - Inside an electric toaster, there is a wire (coil) which has a very high resistance. When electricity flows through the high resistance wire, it generates heat due to power dissipation (VoltagexCurrent=Power). Thus, electrical energy is transformed into heat
#3 - Nuclear fusion in the sun basically causes a decrease in matter when two atoms of hydrogen combine to release one atom of helium. Along with this decrease in mass, there is also some energy released since helium is more stable than hydrogen. Thus the mass shows up as energy using Einstein's equation E=mc^2, and added to that is the energy due to the stability difference... This shows up as heat and light
#4 - A battery has electrons flowing from one of its terminals to the other. Basically, its a battery because it generates electricity. Next, using the same logic as the toaster, we can say that electricity can generate heat. Other than that, the batter's chemical reactions may also generate heat, again due to the very nature of the reaction.
#5 - A curling iron, very much like a toaster, has wires (usually of the material - nichrome) which has a high resistance, and hence dissipates a lot of heat when electricity flows through it...

a) The person can produce heat due to the friction between the tyre and the ground, due to the friction between the pedal and the chain driving the wheel, due to friction at the wheel's suspension point etc
b)A bolt of lightning can be thought of as a lot of electricity, and consequently, it can generate heat when it causes electricity to pass through anything with a lot of resistance (ex: When it strikes a lightning rod, it causes electricity to pass through the rod and hence heats up the rod). Also, one can say that lightning may split up molecules of chemicals in the sky and this reaction may in some cases lead to heat generation
c)The sun can heat a home directly by its heat (i.e. sunlight brings along with it some heat from the sun). Other than that, one can think of solar panels which may convert sunlight into electricity, which in turn can heat up things
Basically, the easiest thing to do would be to try and get electricity into the picture. Once you are able to convert a particular form of energy into electricity, you have a wide variety of gadgets around you which convert electricity to a lot of other forms of energy and hence your answers will come faster...
