well im getting a mazda rx8. and i want to put a body kit on it....but im not really into racing i just think it looks nice...but will it break is it safe to drive on the regular road with a body kit. if not is there a way to make it safe to drive with?? and what body kit do you recommend that will be safest?
most body kits will bolt into the stock locations so they will be safe and secure. i have had a body kit on every car i have owned since i started driving. there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration before buying a kit. they will make your car about and inch or two lower so speed bumps become a pain in the you know what. they also should be professionally installed since they are made of polyurethane or fiberglass and may need some trimming to fit correctly. they will also need to be painted since they come either flat black or gel coated white. i have always bought extreme dimensions body kits especially now that they have changed to flex resins. basically you can tie the body kit in a knot and it will come out fine. most will break under this condition. they also have reduced body kit breakage from rocks and during shipping by over 75% since the change. this is good in case you for get to slow down over a speed bump. a lot less chance of damage.
