Here are some more information for Race Car Midget:

Anthony Wayne Stewart is a NASCAR Sprint Cup driver. He was born on May 20 1971 at Columbus, Indiana. If there is one thing that Stewart wants, it is racing.
While growing up, he developed a keen interest in go-karts. He started racing, and in 1987, he became the champion of the World Karting Association. This is just the beginning of his long list of achievements. Aside from the go-karts, he also tried riding three-quarter midgets and raced. He joined the United States Auto Club Series. On his debut, he won the Rookie of the Year award. He was relatively successful in the open-wheel auto racing.
He had an interesting start in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. He faced the much-favored racer, Dale Earnhardt Jr. in a Gatorade Twin 125 races. Although Earnhardt won, Tony Stewart has grabbed many of the spectators' attention. He gained more following as he continued to race. Many were impress in his strong finishes. He always managed to find a spot in the top ten. This made him deserving to win another Rookie of the year Award, this time from the Winston Cup.
After winning the Rookie of the Year Award in 1999, he did not show any sign of slowing down. During the next season, he was still consistent with his strong driving abilities. Although this was the case, the competition was tougher. The tight competition caused him to drop to the sixth spot. However, he won the midget car event in the Turkey Night Grand Prix and he could not be prouder.
The following season, Stewart was in an accident during the race but he was able to walk away without major injuries. Controversy also filled the season. He had unpleasant encounters with a NASCAR official for some violations. He also had some unlikely encounter with another driver, Jeff Gordon. This led to his fining. Many consider him as short tempered. These encounters earned him the nickname the bad boy of NASCAR.
He had a good run in 2002. It did not start right for him though. He placed seventh in the standings during the first part of the season. NASCAR placed him on probation after a misunderstanding with a photographer in the Brickyard 400. However, this did not alter his ability to ride. He had a good run during the last few races. By the end of the year, he would have his very first Winston Cup Championship title.
There are quite a few highlights in his career in 2004. He started out strong. He had notable wins in Chicagoland and Watkins Glen International. He also teamed up with two of NASCAR's great drivers, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Andy Wallace for the 24 Hours of Daytona. Although they had a great start, they were not able to pull it off, their suspension broke, and the rear wheels dislocated.
The next season was a success. It included his second NASCAR Nextel Cup Title. However, he missed his chance to win it again in 2006.
Tony Stewart is one talented racecar driver. However, that is not the only highlight in his career. He also made his mark because of the various unpleasant encounters he had with other drivers and officials.

Collectible Car Classic: The Ferrari Ferriana
Intrigued with the notion of a miniature bolide bearing his name, Enzi Ferrari proudly unveiled a diminutive engine late in 1959. The 854, which stood for shorthand the four cylinder 850cc engine. You know this type and line of car well. A replica of the Ferrari 250 line was used in the 1986 film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" In the movie, the replica Ferrari 250 was the characters Cameron Frye's dad's car. Interestingly enough the automotive company that produced the replica 250 sports car , was later sued by Ferrari for the unlawful use of the Ferraro logos . Later forcing the replica company to shut down to avoid further legal action and potential financial judgments against itself So much for copying the rich and famous.
The most famous Ferrari 250 of them all was the 250 GTO. Often called the "First Supercar" this led to the radically restyled GTO/64 in 1864 of which only 39 cars were ever built. .
The diminutive 853 went resembled a section of the 250GT's SOHC V-12 engine right down to the characteristic black crinkle paint on its tiny valve cover.
After several false starts, a prototipo appeared at the prestigious 1961 Turin Automobile show. Called the Mille (for 1000), the petite fastback's lines were drawn by the then rising Bertone star Giorgetto Giugiaro. No Ferrari badges were evident, but cognoscenti knew Maranello was responsible for the twin Weber, 96 barrel horse power (bhp) one liter engine. The tubular chassis (a miniature Ferrari knockoff) was designed by Giotto Bizzarini himself.
Ferrari himself had no plans to finance the venture. Driving a proptype around enthusiastically, the "old man" sought other partners for that purpose. His well known legendary showmanship worked. Exactly one year later, the little car reappeared at Turin, now badged as a Ferrari ASA 1000GT, sponsored by a trio of well known racing drives - ingegnere Bizzarini and a corporate sponsor.
Yet again after several more false starts, production models finally bowed in 1964. Luckily for American motor vehicle enthusiasts and consumes most of these special little sports cars were destined for the U.S. sports automotive markets. The American Ferrari distributor of the time, Luigi Chinetti offered the little berlinetta at a price of $ 6200. Perhaps at this price point the sports car was unrealistically priced since a contemporary Chevrolet 427 Corvette sold in the region of $ 4500.
Despite an ambitious, Targa Flora racing effort and an overbored alloy Competizione version, called the Berlinetta 411, sales faltered. Prices were drastically reduced to clear the remaining "orphans". Perhaps fifty to seventy-five ASA 1000GTs, including a few fiberglass-bodied convertibles was built in total. Of this amount thirty two found American homes and registration. The whole venture folded ingnomiously by the year of 1967.
Driven around today in 2008, the midget has a distinctive raspy "bark". Due to the tubular , independent front suspension and full four wheel disc brakes handling of these now classic Ferrari sports cars has been always been much more than would be considered decent and acceptable for a car of its time and sports motor car vintage and pedigree.
In the end the demise this little jewel of a sports car, the Ferrari "Ferrariana", was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Detroit's 60's "Muscle Cars" were just too powerful with their massive V-8 engines as well as being less expensive for car buyers to purchase or finance.

If you could go to any race in 2009, Which would it be? (F1, NASCAR, WoO, Indy Car Series, Rolex Series, etc)?
Which series are you most wanting to see run in 2009?!
Personally, I'd like to see a WoO event again... The only thing that could top that is going back to the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals or really any USAC event. It is some of the best racing on 4 wheels...
Just a note: Pray for the Dodson family and the whole USAC crew that helps Cameron Dodson. He was critically injured in a car wreck and really nothing has been said to the seriousness of his condition other than it was critical. Cameron is an awesome talent.

Of those I'd say WoO. I've never been but it looks so cool on TV.
2. I've been to NASCAR and had a great time.
3. Rolex. I like road racing so it would be cool. I just don't think you can see as well in person.
4. I've been to IRL and it was OK.
5. I've been to F1 and its simply 2 hours of follow the leader. Where you qualify is more or less where you finish. Waste of money.
Parady running different kind of race
Pope Valley’s Jeff Parady has spent many nights at Calistoga Raceway as a spectator and as a driver. These days Parady is actively involved in one race (Napa County District 3 Supervisor), while the kind of racing he is used to (sprint cars) has taken a backseat recently.
