Here are some more information for Predator Tuner Part:

The performance chip or tuner is a way to reprogram the internal computer inside a vehicle. Most vehicles have the capability to use one of these chips or tuners and the 2010 Camaros are no exception to this. One may ask the question, is there a large selection to choose from or is it one of those things that one choice is all that is available? The answer to that question is yes there are many different options, and with all of the different options come different benefits catering to every individuals needs. Today we will just cover three of many choices but most of them will be very similar in their performance and increase in efficiency.
The first that we will cover is the Diablo Sport Predator. The Diablo Sport name was founded in 2000 and has continued to be a leader in the Performance chips and tuners industry since. Diablo Sport has claimed performance increase of 20+ horse power and 20+ ft/lbs of torque on the new 2010 Camaro L99 with the automatic transmission and they even do a little better on the LS3 motor with the manual transmission. They'll boost the LS3 by about 25 on both. With gains of 1-3 mpg fuel efficiency as long as you aren't racing around town. Installing the Diablo Sport will only take about 10 minutes with an on screen display that practically walks you right through the install. They do not void any warranties that may be available from Chevrolet, and they come with a 2 year manufacturer warranty of their own.
If you want or need to restore the original programming it is just as easy as installing the reprogrammed one. You just go through the exact same steps and choose the stock setting. There's also another fancy little feature of the diablosport predator on the 2010 Camaros with the L99 automatic. When you put the car in cruise control, it shuts down four of the cylinders to get better gas mileage. The only problem with that is the car doesn't sound the same anymore. With the diablo, you can disable that feature, making it run on all 8 cylinders all the time.
The second tuner on the agenda is the Hypertech Max Energy for the 2010 Camaro. The Max Energy Power Programmer extracts every bit of energy possible. With this nifty little tuner you have the power to boost horse power and torque, improve gas mileage, raise top speed limiter, raise the "RPM" rev limiter, recalibrate speedometer, read, and display and clear DTCs.
They are internet updateable with the USB included and they are legal in all 50 states. In most cases 12 horse power and 20 ft/lbs of torque are common giving the Camaro better in traffic response time. Just like the Diablo Sport you can expect 1-3 mpg fuel efficiency. Also this product does not void the factory warranty with a 1 year warranty of its own. They include two performance tunes for either 91 octane or 93 octane fuel. Although hypertech puts out a nice product, most people go the way of the diablo instead because the features are close to identical, but the power gains of the diablo are bigger.
The third and final for today is the Jet Performance 2010 Camaro Performance Chip. Jet Performance has been doing what they do for over 40 years. They are committed to give the consumer what he or she really wants... more power. The Jet Performance programming is designed to burn fuel at peak efficiency, which results in improved performance and mileage.
Jet Performance boasts about their gains for the Camaro of 15+ Horse power. Fuel and timing curves are modified for optimal performance and mileage using less expensive, lower octane fuels. Just like the other two you do have the possibility of up to an extra 3 miles per gallon, it will require a little discipline on the driver's part, keep the foot off the floor. Installing it is easy, in less than 10 minutes of installing the chip and there you're off to play. They also offer their one year warranty against defects. They have two different versions of the chip available. There's a stage one chip, that is designed for stock 2010 camaros. They have a stage two also, that is designed for modded 2010 camaros, that have other mild boltons like a cold air intake, headers, exhaust, or others. The nice thing about the tuners is they work on stock or modified engines, but if you know what you need, the jet chips are also a great way to go.
Tuning is the easiest of the aftermarket upgrades for the 2010 Camaros, and the nice thing is they work together with any other parts you add to give even bigger gains. So if you have a tuner that gives 20 hp and an air intake that gives 20 hp, you'll gain more than 40 by using both items, because they work together. This makes the performance market even funner once you get further in.
When looking for a 2010 Camaro SS Chip, the Diablosport 2010 Camaro Tuner is the best. - Dan
Hand Held or Dyno Tuning a Corvette?
So the question is whether to get your corvette tuned by someone with a dyno or do it yourself with a hand held tuner. The common way is through the use of a hand held tuner. In this article we'll talk about the difference between getting tuned on a dyno and tuning yourself from a hand held tuner.
First, the hand held tuner. The typical corvette hand held tuner is going to come with a few programs on it. Usually the tunes are only for premium fuel like 91 octane, and 93 octane. Each program that comes on the corvette tuner has been dyno tested on a dynamometer which measures horse power and torque throughout the entire rpm ranges. This allows you to see the maximum output of the corvette as well as its horsepower and torque curves which allows you to see where the power is at. The tuners also have several additional features such as reading and clearing trouble codes or check engine lights. They also allow for speedometer recalibration for those who go to larger or different sized tires, or even for different axel ratios. The Diablosport Predator for example offers 20 hp and can hold up to 5 custom tunes on it. Most Corvette tuners come with extra tunes for the people that have added an air intake or an exhaust system. Diablosport doesn't batch test their tuners when they make them either, they are all tested individually to ensure the best quality possible.
Second, we have tunes or programs that are created by someone that has your specific corvette on their dyno. Now remember, we mentioned that most corvette tuners were tested on a dyno before they are made for the masses. All corvettes are slightly different, even if they have the same engine and were made at the same manufacturing plant. When you put your own corvette on a dyno, you know you are getting the most specific tune for your car...as long as the people making it know what they are doing. You will typically have slightly better gains from a dyno tune, but in most cases we're only talking about a few horse power. Getting your corvette tuned either way is going to improve combustion efficiency, which is going to translate to more power at the tires. Usually this will also yield about another one to two miles per gall on fuel economy as well.
Our preference here is the hand held tuner and I'll explain why. Each time you add another part, like an exhaust system, or an air intake, to take advantage of those changes and gain the maximum power, your corvette should be tuned for those modifications. Taking a trip to the dyno each time to get the corvette re-tuned gets expensive fast. With the hand held tuners, in most cases you can get a hold of the manufacturer of the tuner and they can email you the tunes that you need, so you can avoid a dyno trip. Their are some items that require a tune to make the engine even run after you've put the parts on. Like the new STS rear mount turbo systems. They use the diablosport predator to tune the corvette to make use of the turbo system. Without the hand held tuner, the car wouldn't even run.
The hand held tuners are a lot more usable by the people that are slowing making upgrades to their vette. If everything that is ever going to be done to the car gets installed at the same time, then having your corvette tuned on a dyno is the best way to go, cause you'll get that extra bit of power, and you don't have to worry about it getting re-tuned in the future. Anyone who's like me though is always looking for their next mod.
