Here are some more information for Posts Remote Post:

My project team loves to work or discuss online instead of sitting in a room. We generally discuss through an in-built feature of chat or via topic conversation, as it saves a lot of time and money. Even if some team member who works from a remote location feels like working from their office, he may also join. Moreover, what ever is discussed, worked or finalized, it gets automatically documented. It is so important during conversation with clients that every thing gets saved properly. The data becomes accessible to everyone including clients, team members and even the Project Managers who can look for important discussions for future reference. It helps in collaborating team efforts to achieve the objectives and goals of the project.
This is possible through features provided in some Project Management Software. Whenever we kick off a new project we add team members in it. Doing so, helps to a great extent like what ever is discussed in chats gets automatically delivered to all its team members through its embedded email notification feature. Team members or clients get an email notification instantly for updates. That particular email could be then replied back via the same thread. This is done by altering the source of the email to fit into a Project Management Software mechanism that posts back to the thread.
This implies that the recipient does not need to reply directly to the email but can reply to the thread also. This proper tracking of the messages, going back and forth (which is the main purpose of a message thread), facilitates to create a proper task management environment in a team.
Although logging in and posting is not a big issue but clients have a habit of hitting the reply button (because it is the most convenient thing to communicate) and email directly, breaking the whole purpose of following the message thread. The option to copy and paste a message reply manually is always there but its mere wastage of time, even more time consuming when multiple messages are involved. There is so much that may bother to keep posting to the message board but when someone is paying to do a project - being discourteous, rude or botheration is the last thing you want to get rid of. Moreover, all the comments get automatically saved in database and can be referred or searched in future.
Leveraging this method, it keeps your clients comfortable and leaves no room for laziness (if they do not feel like logging in each time to communicate).
"Reply to thread" feature has been incorporated in various social networking sites also where sometimes user usually replies without actual login into the website.
How many Project Managers are aware about this feature? Have they ever noticed this working on any online Project Management Software?

Remote Access Software And Nurturing Family Relationships
If you are anything like me, you have parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents and friends that are pretty far removed from what we would consider 'technically savvy.' You know the sort: they have a hard time with the remote controls for their televisions, they have not yet mastered their cell phones, and they can barely navigate the internet beyond checking emails. When dealing with these beloved yet woefully inept family members, it can be nigh impossible to talk them through even the simplest of technical tasks.
My particular situation revolves around my mother's desire to check yard sale listings on the internet. She is a natural born bargain hunter and has learned that finding yard sales on internet listings is much more efficient than simply driving around on Saturday mornings looking for signs on telephone poles.
However, since I have moved away from home, I am no longer there to help her navigate the web and isolate these listings. Several failed attempts at instructing her over the telephone had us both frustrated and looking for a viable solution that did not include me purchasing a plane ticket home. I finally found a solution in something called remote access software.
This software allows a user to log into and take control of a computer located anywhere in the world from the comfort of their own home. After picking up this software and talking my mother through the thankfully simple installation process, I was in complete control of her computer within minutes.
My mother sat in amazement as I controlled her computer right before her eyes – from across the country! The value in this connection was that, rather than attempt to walk my mother through the process of locating her beloved yard sales, I was able to show her the process occur on her very own computer screen. She watched as I added reliable websites to her favorites folder, conducted Google searches and browsed through CraigsList postings.
Seeing me perform these tasks right before her eyes was even more powerful than doing it in person would have been She was not standing behind me peering over my shoulder, and she was not struggling to translate my words into actions over the telephone. She was sitting in her computer chair, watching her computer screen and learning the process.
Since I installed this software on her computer I have utilized it several times. Printer software installs, OS updates and some video player codec installations are just a few of the processes I have logged onto her computer and quickly handled for her. The software is affordable, simple to use and is very easy on system resources - even on a relic like mother's system.
If you have a relative, friend, co-worker or anyone in your life that can benefit from this kind of direct support, tell them about the benefits of remote access software and guide them to the download page of a free demo.
The amount of time you spend helping them out will be more than outweighed by the time and frustration you will be saving them. You will also be actively contributing to making them a better computer and internet user and, one day, they just might return the favor!

In Australia (WA), will Australia Post deliver mail to a vacant block that I own in a remote country town?
Assuming I put up a mailbox on the vacant block.
Is it legal and allowable, because I want to live in the bush (caravan) but need an address for tax, banking accounts etc...
I don't want to rely long-term on friends for this.
I want to have the mail redirected permanently to a convenient PostOffice Box.
Please advise if you know anything about this arrangement.
Thanks, Lloyd
If you put up a box they will give you an RSD (roadside delivery) number and it will be delivered to the box. If a parcel is too big, they will put a delivery notice in the box and you can pick it up at the PO. It shouldn't be a problem at all. I have lots of friends who live in the bush and they don't have a problem with mail.
