Smoke from side of refrigerator compressor?
Have a Whirlpool side by side with a Matsushita compressor. Heard "pop" sound and terrible smell from fridge. Compressor (DS110Q22-R) runs, but moke comes from small black cylinder on left side of compressor. Is this the overload relay? Can it be replaced? Secured in three places by what looks like pop-rivets (not screws).
Call the repair guy. You can't fix it but they might be able to.
