DIY mold kits in apartment ... what to do with results? Landlord? Health dept? Test again?
Last week I noticed water spots (two large ones) on my dining room ceiling. I called the maintenance people and they came out and said the leake upstairs was fixed. Two hours later I had water on my utility closet floor and I looked up and saw that the entire ceiling in the closet was covered in wet spots, the water was leaking down the furnace vents/pipes and the leak was not fixed. The leak was finally fixed this past Monday and Tuesday the property manager had the apartment painted with Kilz. I bought a DIY mold kit and followed the directions of letting it set up for an hour and then leave it open for an hour. Do I buy another now that it's been painted and test again? Has anyone used a DIY test and think this isn't a lot of mold?
I have a respiratory disorder so to be on the safe side I've been sleeping elsewhere... any ideas or suggestions?
just wipe it with bleach. what's the big deal ?
