Golf course equipment upkeep is a chore but a necessary part of keeping any course in premier shape. Maintaining the carts, mowers and trucks used on any private or public course can help ensure that they last for years. However, situations do arise when the engine in one of these pieces stops performing at its best or goes out all together. In that situation, buying something new to replace it may seem like the best option. In many cases, however, it is not. Many small engines used in golf course equipment can be replaced with repowered Kohler or Briggs Stratton small engines. By using a repower kit, you can restore you mower, hauler or trickster to a more powerful, cleaner and quieter machine at a much more reasonable price.
Repower is the term used to describe replacing an old engine with a new engine, a used engine, a remanufactured engine, or electric motors, drives, or fuel cells. how easy is it for novice mechanic to rebuild a eagle talon transfer case and if its worth it?
I found on ebay transfer case for $150, i also found a rebuild kit for $120 has All Main Bearings, Gaskets and Seals, and Small Parts Kit.
If you have any information on this or can help some way, i would greatly appreciate it.
you're better off for the 30 dollars difference to buy it you'll save the time to rebuild it the money on buying some tools to work on it the time it will take to build it the manual you will need to buy to make sure all clearance's are good and so forth if it was going to be several hundred dollars then i would say build it but not as easy as it looks
