Dover the Monster Mile Where Nascar Dreams are Made or Broken

If you’re into Nascar you are more than aware of the race at Dover this weekend, the famous concrete beast some of last year’s victims of the beast were Matt Kenseth (Roush Racing), Kyle Busch (Hendrick Motorsports), and Kevin Harvick (Richard Childress Racing), all of which are going to redeem their selves this Sunday.

Dover will be the 3rd event in a row to display the COT cars (Car of Tomorrow) a new car design that is supposed to be lighter and faster so it makes drivers able to pass up front when they trail the driver up front by a few seconds, two must see match ups will be between Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motors) and Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motors), the other between Kevin Harvick (Richard Childress Racing) vs Dale Earnhardt Jr.(Dale Earnhardt Inc).

At SBGGlobal.com we have the odds for the Dover 400 as follows:

To people who think Hendrick was working in a "gray area", please read.?

Q: IF IT'S REALLY AN AREA THAT THE TEMPLATE DOESN'T GO OVER, THEN HOW COULD IT MEASURE?

Doug Duchardt: "When NASCAR sent templates, they also sent data that defined the car in it's entirety, from the front to the back. So what they're saying is that we don't fit that data. And you probably have to ask NASCAR more specifically but what we're understanding is we have to fit that data at all times. That is what controls us, is the data that NASCAR sent out, that defines the three-dimensional version of our Impala."

NASCAR has exact, specific dimensions for the entire body of the CoT, this goes beyond the templates that are used. The 24 and 48 cars did not meet this data, there is no gray area, they flat out were beyond the dimensions of the vehicle.

Aw sorry but that is crap. NASCAR has informed ALL teams there will be NO messing around with these Checker Yellow piece of crap cabs. They were all told penalties would be stiff if anything was tried. ANYTHING. Classic example of teams being on top, trying to stretch the rules.
To see how stupid these guys were, they tried it for a freakin ROAD Course !!! They deserve what they get.
