What way should a glass packed muffler be facing?
Should the slits be facing the engine so the exhaust can flow into the fiber glass or the other way?
Searching the old newsgroup people say to face it to the engine others say facing it to the engine will "burn out the fiberglass" Or fill the slits with carbon.
What way is it ? Anyone been running glass packs for few years facing the engine without a problem?
Take it from an old gearhead, face the slits toward the engine,this way the glass wont blow out over time. Eventually the glass will pack, but you don't want it to pack against the slits and blow out.
