I'm looking to buy my first motorcycle so I need to buy some gear. I was looking on Amazon and seen this jacket:

It seemed cheap compared to other places like Joe-Rocket, etc.. But, had many of the same specifications. Is it cheaper just because of the name or is it of lesser quality?
Winter jacket? I thought I should buy something heavy in case of a spill.

That jacket looks decent. Depending on the quality of the stitching and the grain of the leather it may be a good buy.
Remember the old-adage - you get what you pay for.
With well known named brand manufacturers like Joe Rocket and Alpinestars - you are paying a bit for the name - but they got their names for valid reasons.
Whatever jacket you get ensure it has CE armor in the shoulders and elbows and some type of armored back protector.
If you want a winter jacket - your best bet is a textile jacket instead of leather.
