Here are some more information for Mini Stock Shocks:

Progressive Suspension shocks and fork components are "exact fit" products. This means when you purchase their products they are tested and fitted for your specific bike. For shocks, this means the valving, as well as the spring rates, vary depending upon the motorcycle and payloads the bike will see. On the other hand, factory shocks that come stock on your bike, are more generic for obvious production reasons. No matter how fast your bike is, or how good it looks, none of that is important unless you are getting a comfortable and safe ride. Whether you have just purchased a new bike or upgrading a pre-owned bike, suspension should always be one of your first considerations when looking to improve your motorcycle.
With numerous choices in aftermarket suspension, Progressive Suspension makes it easy by offering a wide range of products with varying degrees of price and performance. Here is a a short summary of motorcycle suspension parts they offer.
- 412 Series: Gas-Charged Cruiser Shocks
- 416 Series: Air Shocks for cruisers
- 418 Series: Aluminum Bodied Cruiser Twin Shocks
- 422 Series: Softail Shocks (adjustable from stock to 2" lower)
- 425 Series: UTV Front and Rear Shocks
- 430 Series: Gas Mono-Tube Cruiser Shocks (Deflective Disk Valve Design)
- 440 Series: Gas charged with Inertia Active System (I.A.S.) - self adjusting damper
- 465 Series: High Pressure Gas Mono Shock for Metrics (Deflective Disk Valve Design)
- 512 Series: ATV Front and Rear Shocks
- 716 Series Air Draggers: Ride-height adjustable air shocks for later model H.D. Touring
- 722 Series: Airtail Shocks for Softails (both Coil and Air Shock in one system)
- 740 Series: AirTail I.A.S Shocks for Dyna and Touring (both Coil and Air Shock in one system)
- 812 Series: High pressure gas charged Cruiser Shocks (412s with upgraded styles)
- 940 Series: Ultra Touring Shocks for Harley Davidson Touring Models
- Monotube Fork Cartridge Kit for HD Touring Models - converts damper rod fork to high performance cartridge fork
- Harley Davidson Touring Link - assists to reduce or eliminate rear wheel wobble
- Fork Springs
- Fork Spring Lowering Kits
As mentioned earlier, most series of shocks have many different designs depending upon the bike fitment. As an example, the 412 Series (as of the date of this article) consists of over 175 different models. Again, each of which are designed for a particular bike or bikes and predicted payloads. For bolt-on shocks, this is about as good as it gets without paying for a custom shock.

Mini needs a pair of subs?
Got a 05' chevy venture minivan "mini" with candy apple paint and a legit stock sound system. Im going to college next yr and i thought to myself "what do women like more than a killer stero system and a guy who drives a minivan"? My buddies suggested kenwood or sony brand since i want some quality without the sticker shock of pioneer. But i really have no idea about anything realating to subwoofers. Im guessing ill have them installed in the way rear but will just one sub suffice if i get a 12' ? Any tips would help!
If you are wnting top shelf brands on a bottom shelf budget (which is quite dooable with some online legwork, no free lunches here) search eBay for good deals, or hit up some audio site's classifieds for used equipment. A good search here is to find discontinued, new old stock speakers. Look up some older models of your favorite brands, and search them on eBay or craigslist.
I'll throw a couple bones your way right here.
Look up MB Quart RWE subs on eBay. Look for the Woofersetc. auctions where they are selling Rockford-made MB Quart speakers at rock bottom prices. They are comparable to the 2nd gen HE2's and are selling for next to nothing since the MB Quart name has been sold to another company.
Another good find is to search for the Rockford HX2 recones on eBay (the OG kevlar/paper cones), find out the model #'s or ohm loads of the subs the recones will fit on, then search out a set of used HX2's of the same impedance (ohm load) on craigslist. These subs go pretty damn cheap on craigslist, were tough as nails (check the subs for abuse by idiot owners), and the cheap recones will make them good as new IF it ever becomes necessary.
This is a perfect way to get a hold of an excellent sub that was sold for roughly $300-400 new for around $75-100, and have $25-30 recones available all day every day.
