Keeping the iPhone screen safe is one of the first things every new owner thinks about. The iPhone is a major investment. It ranks right up there with your laptop or home computer. The delicate appearance of the screen quickly becomes a concern for new owners. There are a variety of ways to protect your iPhone screen. You have to decide what kind of case to get, and which kind of screen protector to buy. You should take a trip to your local superstore and check out the different kinds of cases and screen protectors they carry.
Just shop around so you get the feel for what is available and actually put your hands on them. Then, you can search the Internet for the best buy. Some of the different type of cases your will find are:
- Hard cases; there are many different types of what is considered "hard cases".
- Leather case; leather is always stylish and just has a good feel to it. It also protects well. Most leather cases also come with screen and wheel protection. Screen protection is usually some form of neoprene plastic. As with all plastics, the protection is good but you may find bubbles form between the screen and the plastic. There are many different brands offering leather cases.
- Belt clips; these are always popular and very functional. Some of these are leather, others are plastic. Some have a swivel clip design. This type is also called a holster and they will sometimes come with screen protection. Others will just be a case to store your iPhone and retrieve it when you need it.
- Arm bands; these are becoming more popular and you will see more companies offering them in the future. Most have a stretch armband and secure place to hold the phone. You can find these in leather or sportswear material. Some will come with plastic screen covers. Some of these can be hard to retrieve and you should shop around before purchasing. Make sure it has an easy off Velcro strap or slip in design.
The list goes on and on. The brands and companies are coming out of the woodwork to market products and cases for the iPhone. For a new owner the very first thing you should do is protect your iPhone screen. There are products specifically designed to protect your iPhone screen. The screen is very sensitive to grease from your fingers and is easily scratched. The screen protectors eliminate this problem.
As with cases, there are many different brands and types of screen protectors. I have even seen a nervous new iPhone owner cover the Iphone screen with scotch tape. I thought this was insane behavior. After he was finished the tape actually functioned very well. He was not going to leave the tape on his iPhone and was going to replace it with a real screen protector as soon as he could.
Plastic screen protectors come in all sizes and shapes. Some you have to cut yourself to fit on your iPhone. The best screen protector we found actually ended up protecting the whole iPhone. We won't talk about brand names here but this brand is form fitting and has cut outs for wheel etc. It came with squeegee and liquid spray to help slip the Iphone into the protecting cover. We like to call this one the rubber for the iPhone.
There are many different brands and types of cases and screen protectors. What is important is that you protect your investment. You can enjoy your iPhone for years to come if you protect it.

LCD TV Screen Protectors - A Worthwhile Investment Or Not?
No one can argue that TVs have changed a lot over the past decade. Your grandma's old black and white TV has evolved. Even the old color TV you grew up with would be practically unrecognizable in today's household. Today's consumer prefers the digital quality and sound of a flat panel LCD TV screen. These new TVs bring such clarity to the screen, that it feels like you are actually watching the programs live. Not to mention these sleeker models are much more aesthetically pleasing than their predecessors. This year the super bowl parties all over the country will be watching the game on their new LCD TV screen.
There is no need to miss any shows at all anymore. Thanks to digital video recorders and Tivo systems, you can watch your favorite shows anytime. You are in control! Grandma calling during the finals of American Idol? No problem. Don't let that call go to voice mail, take that call. Simply pause your TV and after Grandma tells you about her BINGO win, press play and your watching your show right where you left off, as if you never left. Can't stand that Mentos commercial? With these systems you can fast forward through all of what Madison Avenue is trying to sell you.
With all these technological enhancements come some caveats as well. The same TV screens that bring you that crystal clear picture are also extremely fragile. Throwing your remote at the TV because your team lost, will make you even more upset later when you break the screen on your new LCD TV. Unlike tube style TVs, LCD TVs can be cracked very easily. Do you have kids? Your TV is also in danger from flying toys, Wii remotes, or pets. Maybe putting the nature channel on for Fido was not such a good idea! One tiny crack will ruin your TV. Think you have a warranty. Think again! Most companies do not guarantee the TV's screen, knowing how easily they break.
So, how are consumers supposed to protect their serious investment? The best option is to purchase a TV screen protector such as TV armor. A TV screen protector can protect your screen from all life has to throw at it. A TV screen protector is basically a high grade acrylic screen, of about a quarter of an inch thickness, which attaches to the front of your LCD TV screen. As the protector screen is specially made for this purpose, you can rest assured that it will not take anything away from the quality of the picture that you see.
If you are willing to spend over $500 on a first class TV in the first place, then it makes sense to spend a little extra on taking care of your investment. Remember, a damaged LCD TV screen is generally not able to be repaired, and a replacement is about the same price as a new TV, so one little accident is going to leave you seriously out of pocket.

Best Heat Protector?
What heat protector would you recommend to use on hair before using hair dryer/straighteners? Did it have good results?
I have tried a few: Aussie, L'oreal, Mark Hill... but none were oustanding! Wouldn't mind paying a bit extra for a very good one - was thinking about Aveda, what do you think?
Thankyou!
I don't use Aveda's heat protector but I do use their finishing gloss/lotion after I'm done flat ironing my hair for optimum results.
For my heat protector I really like Nexxus Protexx. It's a spray bottle that sprays a very light mist. It smells good and isn't greasy or sticky feeling when you apply it on. I would recommend it!
Tebow coming to Denver out of left field
Brock Huard quickly returned a phone message. “I don’t get a chance to talk about left-handed quarterbacks much,” Huard said. "You don’t see it much. I go to a lot of youth football camps and the quarterbacks are almost always right-handed. It seems all the lefties are playing baseball. ... I’m interested to see Tim Tebow because we lefties are hard to come by.” Huard, now a college football ...
