The knives were so popular, Mr. Gerber ultimately left his agency to launch Gerber Legendary Blades in 1939.For more than half a century, Gerber Legendary Blades has been helping people fend for themselves. Joint Locks and Holds (Self Defense and Martial Arts Inc. Series) List Price: $39.95 Sale Price: $31.95 |

Video Reviews were previously completed about other videos developed by Mr. Saladino and not necessarily the programs listed. Joint Locks and Holds See a variety of methods in order to control an attacker and cause limited to no injury. See how to manipulate an attacker so that their aggression is redirected against them resulting in them being incapacitated. The more I watch Mr. Saladino, the more I like what Mr. Saladino teaches. After having watched several of his tapes, I highly recommend this series, based on what I've seen so far. And forget purchasing just 1 or 2 of Mr. Saladino's tapes! Even though each tape can stand on its own, and benefit a person greatly, the real beauty of this system is learning to use and combine what's taught on each of his tapes, especially the last 3 we've reviewed. If a person were to really dedicate oneself to learning each of those 3 tapes, they'd have one heck of a fighting system. And if that's not a strong enough recommendation about this series, let me put it this way, "Because of it's thorough and complete utilization of various martial arts techniques, and it's infinite possibilities, this is THE style I wish I'd started out with 20 years ago!" Here are some more information for Lock Safety Belts:

It's time to buy a highchair when your child is ready to eat solid foods. A free standing highchair is considered by most parents to be one of the most indispensable baby products you'll ever buy.
It's easier to feed your baby, since you can sit directly in front of the highchair. Some of the newer highchairs recline a little for young infants and then eventually transform into a youth chair for a toddler. As your child grows, so do these adaptable highchairs.
Most highchairs are used daily for 2 or 3 years, so be sure it is durable. Try to find one that suits your taste. The styles include the classic wooden highchair, metal framed, or an all plastic model.
Some parents want a wooden highchair, not being able to resist their old fashioned charm. However, wooden highchairs are usually not practical. If you want a wood one for an infant, determine if the seat will be too deep and if the footrest will be too low before purchasing. The wood trays are usually harder to clean, not as stain resistant and heavier than plastic or metal trays. Most wooden highchairs do not fold, so moving one around is burdensome.
A basic metal or plastic framed highchair will meet your feeding needs. Although they may not be much to look at, they are the most economical priced and have some nice features. Some of the features are that they are usually light weight; they fold up and are relatively small for easy storage and portability.
The newer, full featured highchairs offer the most convenience for you and are comfortable for your child. Some of the features are: thicker padded seats, easy to detach trays, easy clean up and many offer reclining seats for small infants. Some even have wheels for moving from kitchen to dining room and back. These highchairs will adjust to accommodate your growing child's needs.
Here are some features to take into consideration when looking at highchairs.
Stability: Look for a sturdy chair that will be hard to tip over, such as one having a wide base.
Comfort: Even an economical, basic chair should be well padded. Make sure the padding won't easily puncture and is thick. If you plan on buying a wooden highchair, also buy a cushion to make it more comfortable for your child.
Safety: The restraint system should secure across the hips and between the legs to prevent your child from standing or slipping out from under the tray. The safety buckle should be too hard for a child to open. Highchairs with wheels should have a lock to keep them from rolling accidentally. Make sure to check the seat for sharp edges and look for holes and sharp edges in the tray. Wooden highchairs should be free of splinters; the grain and finish should be smooth.
Cleaning: Food will get in every crevice possible. Be sure to check the seat, tray, harness and frame to determine how easy it will be to clean. Plastic or vinyl for the seat is a must to easily wipe clean. Stay away from chairs with uncovered fabric seats since they are nearly impossible to keep clean and will stain.
Tray Removal: Try to find a chair with one hand tray removal. This will be a valuable feature when you only have one hand free and a squirming baby in the other.
Adjustability: This feature can make feeding time more comfortable for everyone. Height adjustments will accommodate varying size tables. A reclining seat is good for young babies. Footrests that adjust to fit your child's growth is a nice feature also.
Prices: Prices depend on the type of highchair you choose. Expect to pay between $70 - $150 for a wooden highchair. Basic metal or plastic frame models usually run between $30 - $100. The modern, full featured chairs typically cost between $120 - $180.

Safety Before, During, and After for Chevy Vehicles
Traffic safety has been one of the top priorities of car manufacturers in designing and producing their mass market vehicles. Nowadays, it is common to find a long list of safety features on vehicles. While the most recognizable car brand in terms of safety is Volvo, other car manufacturers have also provided their consumers with the latest in safe vehicle technology.
General Motors’ division Chevrolet is one of these companies which offer a long list of safety features. The company’s safety features are divided into three parts namely before, during and after an accident.
Safety before an accident is composed of features which allow drivers to have total control of a vehicle to avoid accidents at all costs. One of the Chevrolet’s safety before features is the ABS or the anti-lock braking system. This feature is commonly found on new vehicles and almost all of Chevrolet’s auto models. The ABS reduces the risk of a wheel lockup on hard braking. This ensures that the driver would not lose control of the vehicle. This also reduces braking distance by allowing drivers to brake heavily without risking wheel lockup.
Vehicles equipped with ABS are the Chevy Aveo, Cobalt, Corvette, Impala, Malibu/Malibu Maxx and the Monte Carlo for cars. For SUVs, the Equinox, HHR, Suburban, Tahoe, and the TrailBlazer are all equipped with this safety feature. Trucks equipped with this are the Avalanche, Colorado, and the Silverado. These trucks can be equipped with aftermarket Chevrolet pickup pedal covers to make the vehicles not only safe but also aesthetically sound.
The ABS feature is also used to complement another safety feature which is the Traction Control System. This system reduces wheel spin especially on slippery road surfaces. This feature uses the same sensors used by the ABS to determine the power that the engine needs to deliver to a particular wheel. This feature is available on the Colorado and the Silverado Classic trucks. For cars, the Cobalt, Corvette, Impala, Malibu/Malibu Maxx and the Monte Carlo are all equipped with this safety feature. For vans, the Chevy Uplander is also equipped with traction control.
Another safety feature that allows drivers to avoid accident is the StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System. This system uses electronics to help drivers take control of the vehicle. It automatically adjusts the vehicle’s power output to complement the steering input of the driver. The feature’s sensor gathers data from the steering wheel’s position and how the vehicle actually reacts to it. If the onboard computer sensed that the driver is under steering or oversteering, it will correct it automatically by activating the brakes or adjusting the engine torque. Chevrolet auto models equipped with this feature are the Corvette for cars; the Equinox, Suburban, Tahoe, and the TrailBlazer for SUVs; the Avalanche, Silverado and the Silverado HD for tucks; and the Express and the Uplander for vans.
Aside from this, all Chevrolet vehicles are also equipped with daytime running lights. This feature makes vehicles visible even through fog and rain. This feature reduces the risk of traffic accidents caused by the inability to detect the vehicle’s presence by another driver.
Safety during accidents for Chevy vehicle occupants is ensured by a variety of safety features which includes the safety cage. The design of the frame is aimed to protect the occupants from front, rear, and side collisions. The cage which is made of reinforced steel is complemented by crush zones. These are areas which absorb the energy of an impact therefore reducing the impact on the occupants of the vehicle. The safety cage is used in the construction of all Chevrolet vehicles. The protection of the occupants is also ensured by the safety belts that come with every Chevrolet vehicle. It has been proven that seat belts are the most effective safety technology in protecting motorists in cases of crashes. Seat belts are complemented by airbags which also comes with every Chevrolet auto model.
Chevrolet offers a complete menu of airbags for their vehicles. These airbag systems are: front air bags (standard), dual-stage frontal air bags, side-impact air bags and head-curtain side-impact air bags. These safety features give Chevrolet auto models five-star frontal crash test ratings. These vehicles given the highest safety ratings are: the Aveo 5, Impala, Malibu Sedan, Malibu Maxx, Monte Carlo, Equinox, HHR, Suburban 1500, Tahoe, Avalanche, Colorado 4-Door, Silverado 1500, Express 1500, and the Uplander.
The safety of Chevrolet vehicle occupants is ensured by OnStar. With this GPS-based feature, an activated airbag can be detected. An Advisor will then call the vehicle, if the driver or passenger is able to answer the call, the Advisor will then request for emergency assistance to be respond. Aside from this, OnStar also features remote door unlocking and vehicle diagnostics.

Can You Over Tighten a Seat/Safety Belt That Holds A Car Seat In Place?
My B/f uses his knee in the car seat and pulls the seat belt as hard as he can to keep the car seat from moving. The little plastic lock end looks like it's going to break from being so tight. It's extremely hard to unbuckle whenever we move it. Is it dangerous to have it so tight? Will it fail from being under constant force?
It is possible to overtighten a seat belt... but you should put a knee in the seat to tighten it. You want the seat in *tight*... but you do not want to damage the seat or the seatbelt.
Products such as the "MightyTite" are not to be used when installing a carseat specifically because (among other things) they can overtighten the belt and cause damage. I hadn't considered it possible to overtighten without one of these devices.... but it sounds like your bf may be doing so! Bear in mind that while the seat shouldn't move more than 1 inch at the belt path... the top of the seat *will* move some when correctly installed (read in the link below). No amount of tightening will (or should!) prevent that... if you read your instructions they should also tell you it is *ok*.
I would get a certified carseat tech to look at the seat with your bf to see if it is indeed too tight. I'm sure they will commend his effort and yet be able to correct any overzealousness it may have caused!
