Here are some more information for John Player Team:

I could not come up with only 1 greatest ever 11 to play for Juventus because I could not bear the thought of leaving out some extremely special players so I have been a bit of a coward and picked 2 teams.
For the first team
Goalkeeper
I never saw Giampiero Combi play so it would have been difficult for me to say he was the best ever but he seemed to have had a lot of respect for his prowess in goal and he did captain the Italian national side to win their first world cup so he must have been excellent.
Stefano Tacconi was a very competent goal keeper and Angelo Peruzzi was fantastic but for the first team, I will have to go for Gianluigi Buffon, who, in my view, is the best goal keeper in the world and 1 of the best I have ever seen.
Right Back
I have always found it difficult to pick a great right back in any team and with Juventus , it is no different. Moreno Torricelli did a very decent job as did Lilian Thuram but I will have to go for Claudio Gentile
Left back
Andrea Fortunato was a fantastic prospect that was sadly taken from us, when he unfortunately lost his life through Leukamia, but he would have gone on to be great if he had lived, I have no doubts about that. Luigi Di Agostini did a very good job as well but I have picked Antonio Cabrini who had a very sweet left foot.
Centre backs
Juventus have been extremely blessed in this department and it will take forever to name all of them. Piertro Rava, Alfredo Foni, Pietro Vierchwood, Fabio Cannavaro, Julio Cesar, Sergio Brio, Antonello Cuccurredu, Ciro Ferrara are amongst the greats.
But I have gone for Gaetano Scirea and John Charles. Scirea is probably along with Boniperti and Del Piero, the most popular player to have played for the club. John Charles was such a talent that he was equally adept at the back and as a striker.
Midfield
For the first team, I have gone for 3-man midfield. There are extremely talented and great players that unfortunately I have had to leave out for different reasons and they are Antonio Conte, Paolo Sousa, Angelo Di Livio, Zavarov, Alelikov, Rui barros, Massimo Bonini, Romeo Benetti, Emerson, Jugovic , Fabio Capello and Liam Brady.
But my trio for this team are Giampero Boniperti, Edgar Davids and Zinedine Zidane
Strikers
I have also gone for a 3-man strike force in my first team. But again the calibre of strikers that I have to leave out is frightening to say the least.
Players like Gianluca Vialli, Salvatore Schillachi, Fabrizio Ravanelli, Paolo Rossi, Christian Vieri, Alen Boksic, John Hansen, David Trezeguet, Alessandro Altobelli, (misused) Thierry Henry, Filipo Inzaghi and countless others.
But I have gone for the trio of Roberto Baggio, Roberto Bettega and Alessandro Del Piero.
For my second team I have gone for a 4-4-2 formation
Goalkeeper - Dino Zoff
Right Back - Ciro Ferrara
Left Back - Gianluca Zambrotta
Centre Backs - Jurgen Koeller and Paolo Montero
Right Winger - Franco Causio
Central Midfielders - Didier Deschamps and Michel Platini
Left Winger - Pavel Nedved
Strikers - Omar Sivori and Felice Borel

Ncaa Basketball- Marquette Defeats St. John In The Second Day Of The Bet
Coming from a victory against the University of Connecticut on the first day of the Big East Tournament Bracket, the University of St. John left everyone speechless in its game against Marquette on Wednesday. St. John was defeated 57-55 in a game that it was winning until the very last minutes.
St. John proved – in most of the second day – that it was a very strong team, setting a game rhythm that evidenced the players' skill. But the team had a rough start. The first half was a little messy, giving Marquette enough space to take advantage of St. John's mistakes.
The first half ended with Marquette ahead 27-17, demonstrating the Storm's lack of concentration. But as the second half started, things slipped into place for St. John players, who began to set the rhythm they needed and whose offense began to work together as a team.
Marquette has been having one of its best seasons ever. The team has an overall record of 20-10 and a Big East record of 11 wins and 7 losses. Coming in as the fifth seed, Marquette has the skills and talents needed in the second round of the Big East Tournament bracket.
Marquette games have a tendency to be full of incredible tension, as the team has won 12 of its last 19 conference games by 3 points or less; 6 of the last 7 have been in the second round of the Big East Tournament.
The last time Marquette faced St. John, in New York, the team won in overtime 63-61 with a Jimmy Buttler shot in the last minute. It was the Golden Eagles' 11th straight win over St. John.
Golden Eagles head coach Buzz Williams said he was very pleased with the result of the most recent game, and particularly, the way his players were working together. Next they will have to focus on a game against Villanova, on Thursday. The fourth-seeded Villanova has defeated Marquette in their last two matches, but the Golden Eagles still have hopes of winning the game and making a second straight semifinal appearance.
It has not been easy for St. John's head coach, Norm Roberts, to face being ousted in the quarterfinals again for the sixth straight year. Rumors circulate that the defeat against Marquette may yet cost him his job. As he walked to the press conference, his face said everything.
"We didn't shoot the ball very well in the first half, but we came back," Roberts said. "We just talked about make the extra pass, make one more pass— they do a great job of rotating in the first half and making the ball stick in our hands a little bit. I thought the guys did a good job of making the extra pass in the second half."
Roberts has been deeply criticized for not signing some of basketball's best prospects. He simply hasn't won enough games.
For now he is waiting for the worse, as many say that it's about time for St. John to look for a fresh new start and hire a new head coach.
