Here are some more information for Hypertech Max Energy:

To most of us car freaks, the way a car performs is a way of life. We are always looking for a little edge on the next guy. We have probably put thousands of dollars into our ride wanting to be the best on the road. And then there are those of us who are just getting started and are not quite sure of when to start. A good starting point is the point that will be the easiest but have some good advantage, after all the majority are beginners. For those of us that aren't may have already tested the waters of Corvette Performance Chips. Corvette Performance Chips and tuners are the fastest easiest way to enhance the performance and efficiency of a Corvette. The majority of these Corvette Performance chips will produce similar gains. 20+ extra horses, 1-3 miles per gallon and around 20 ft/lbs of torque are your typical gains that can be expected. The hardest decision to make with the Corvette Performance Chips is choosing which brand name to go with. They all have something a little unique to their display that creates the separation in the field.
The DiabloSport Predator comes in a handheld tuner with a large display screen. The display screen lights up to enhance readability and creates the possibility of uploading in the dark, not that anyone would ever need to do it in the dark but it is good to know that it is an option. The on screen installation instructions make it a really easy to do the install. The DiabloSport Predator has the availability of 93 octane performance tunes, 91 octane performance tune (Corvette, G8 and Camaro only) and 87 Octane tune, (Truck and SUV only). Some of the other features include: idle RPM drive/neutral, rev limit, fan adjustments, tire size and clear codes support. Clear codes support means you won't have to run into the shop every time the check engine light comes on just to have them turn it off, money saver.
The Hypertech Max Energy tuner extracts every bit of energy possible out of every molecule of fuel giving you more miles at part-throttle and more power at wide-open throttle. The Hypertech Max Energy Corvette tuner can make up to 34 hp @ 5300 RPMs and 35 ft/lbs of torque @ 5100 RPMs above and beyond stock. This tuner is also a hand held tuner with on screen instructions to walk you through the installation process. This tuner is an install and then put it away application, meaning once you have programmed the Corvette you won't have to do anything more. There are different options that you may want to test out so maybe you will use it more than once. Our main gripe on this one is that it doesn't have the same kind of screen real estate that the competition has.
Superchips Flashpaq for the Chevrolet Corvette adds about another 20 horsepower. Gains of up to 3 miles per gallon are not uncommon to the conservative driver. With the superchips flashpaq if there is ever a new tune that becomes available, it's easy to hop on the internet and update the tuner to have the latest tuning available. It also has the capability to read the diagnostic trouble codes. The flashpaq also comes with a one year manufacturer warranty. And best yet, if you had time to read this article you have time to install the Superchips Flashpaq tuner.
Each tuner has some different features and added horsepower outputs, but the best thing is having the car feel new again, because it puts the corvette's performance above and beyond what you're accustomed to.

The Engine Performance I Have Been Looking for Using a Max Energy Programmer
Lets’ start off with one of the first areas that most truck owners look into…. The variety is confusing as heck so I’ll drill it out in somewhat simple fashion. Your engine relies on a balanced mixture of fuel and air for combustion. Currently, your vehicle draws air through the original manufacturer's intake tube and air box, which is typically loaded with a disposable paper air filter. Automakers design your vehicle's intake tube to be the quietest possible unit that can fit in your engine compartment.
While reduced engine noise is of benefit to you, it comes from an intake tube with multiple turns and bends. The result is a drop in the volume of air delivered to the combustion chamber. And, because your stock intake system completely confines the air box in your engine compartment, the air is usually hot when taken in. This combination of limited and warmer air causes fuel-rich combustion mixtures that don't burn at maximum power efficiency.
Performance air intake kits solve a few of these problems in one impressive unit. First, a performance air intake replaces your stock intake tube with a wider pipe that has fewer bends. The result is a higher volume of air that flows more freely, filling your combustion chamber with more oxygen molecules for igniting fuel at balanced, efficient mixtures that maximize power.
There's good news for those of us wanting extra horsepower and torque, though. Your onboard computer can easily be reprogrammed to unlock your vehicle's full potential. When you plug a high-tech performance chip into your vehicle, you'll get:
- Massive boosts in both horsepower and torque across the entire RPM range for stronger towing, faster off-the-line acceleration and rapid passing
- Greater engine efficiency, letting you tow harder, accelerate faster and pass quicker without burning extra gasoline or diesel
- The means of custom-tuning your vehicle to match your modifications and driving style
Your vehicle is stronger, faster and fiercer than you might imagine, and a performance chip is the key to throwing open the floodgates to full-throttle power.
Because your vehicle has a team of horses baying to be unleashed. Stock exhaust systems are designed simply to provide a conduit for spent gases to move from your engine to your tailpipe - no more, no less. On the other hand, performance exhaust systems are engineered to maximize your engine's exhaust flow, giving you:
- Serious horsepower and torque gains
- Distinctive, growling exhaust tone
- Improved fuel economy
Now what I have read on many of the forums out there is that you don’t really see the benefits of each of these upgrades unless you use them together. The intake that you get won’t allow you to reap the full benefits because the newer vehicles will adjust to the new intake. That’s why a performance chip should be used in conjunction to fool your vehicle and will allow for full air-flow from the new intake. The same exists for the new exhaust. Many chips out there can be fine tuned to certain exhausts.
I have an F150 so my need for large tow capacity isn’t as important as larger trucks need, so if you have a gas guzzler and want performance improvements and overall better towing capacity, one or all of these areas should be looked into.
About the Author
One of the latest mods to hit the market was the Hypertech Max Energy E-Con. I’ll do some more research and compare it to the original Hypertech Max Energy and some other power tuners in my next article.
What else should I do to my Jeep Wrangler for performance?
I put on a K&N cold air intake, I put a single exhaust Flowmaster on it, and today I tuned the computer with a Hypertech Max Energy. What else would increase performance?
What would you recommend for the gear ratio? I'm thinking 4.10:1. You?
I've read numerous sources that say throttle body spaces are a waste of money. Boring the throttle body out will give you less than 1 hp increase, but throttle response will increase.
If your Wrangler is lifted with larger tires, changing the gears in the diff will make a huge improvement in performance.
