Here are some more information for Hose End Black:

Have you ever wanted an autopilot way to take care of your lawn and garden without having to think about it? A good solution is to buy a traveling sprinkler. Using only water pressure from your hose, it circles your lawn and evenly waters everything in its path. The water hose attaches to a nozzle, just like any other garden sprinkler, and the pressure turns a series of gears which turn the wheels attached to the bottom of the sprinkler, allowing you to turn it on and let it run its course without moving it every hour.
Some models come with a track that spreads across your lawn and has a ramp at the end, signaling the automatic shut-off when your sprinkler comes to the end of its designated course. Different models have different features, but all are fairly cheap to buy, from thirty to seventy dollars. The typical water pressure in a traveling sprinkler is from forty to sixty pounds per square inch, and most sprinklers travel at a speed of about sixty feet per hour, ensuring a thorough soaking of the ground in its area.
You can water your lawn during the day or night, but most choose to water during the day. Be sure to abide by local water ordinances in your town or township. You cannot beat the ease with which you can get a thorough coverage of your lawn by simply using one of these systems two to three times a week. People today keep busy schedules, and the sort of care required by today's professionals usually involves hiring an expensive lawncare team to keep things nice, but if you have a traveling sprinkler, you can turn it on and forget it.
There are even automatic models which turn on according to a set timer. These work miracles at keeping your lawn green and saving you headaches. You probably have other things to think about. These will come in particularly handy during a dry season, or if you have a new lawn that needs extra care and watering, or bare spots in your lawn. If you compare the one time purchase of a traveling sprinkler, which usually comes with a warranty, to the recurring cost of lawn maintenance from a lawncare crew, it's easy to see that a traveling sprinkler is a cheaper alternative. It is also much cheaper than installing a system of automatic sprinklers. This type of system can cost thousands, and hundreds in repair costs if something goes wrong.
Alternately, if a traveling sprinkler breaks during normal use, it can easily be replaced, sometimes for free, depending upon the conditions in your warranty. All of these things are to be considered in favor of traveling sprinklers to take care of your lawn and garden. If it's a bad growing season, having one will help tremendously. If it's a good growing season, your results are sure to be that much better. Take good care of your lawn this season with the investment in a traveling sprinkler system.

Obama Inverts Civil Rights
Have African-Americans considered all sides of an Obama presidency?
Ironically, it was southern Democrat mayors and governors who used police dogs, batons and fire hoses on peaceful civil rights marchers of the 1960's. It was southern Democrat Congressional members who, being more concerned with reelection to Congress than fairness for black Americans, orchestrated a filibuster of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (the longest in Congressional history). Many white voters back home supported segregationist presidential candidate George Wallace.
To be sure, when our first black president is elected, it will be the final victory of our bloody Civil War. From that day forward, every African-American child can realistically hope to be whatever they want to be including President of the United States, because Obama did it.
The Grand Old Party of the Republic (GOP, Republicans) freed the slaves, used the National Guard to enforce integration of schools (Dwight D. Eisenhower), nominated the first black Supreme Court Justice since Thurgood Marshall (Clarence Thomas), the first black National Security Advisor - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff - Secretary of State (Colin Powell in all three positions) and the first black, female National Security Advisor and Secretary of State (Condoleezza Rice in both positions). Martin Luther King, Jr. understood the difference between party rhetoric and actual political support of the goals and rights of African-Americans. King's "I Have a Dream" speech was at the Lincoln Memorial. Dr. Alveda C. King has affirmed that her uncle, Martin Luther King, Jr. was a registered Republican video here (NBRA dot info). She further confirmed that, Dr. A. D. King (her father) and Martin Luther King, Sr. were all Republicans. The logic of it is obvious but what happened to change the party loyalty of most African-Americans? Are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton so hypnotic, to erase all these memories of real history? What happened?
The US Census Bureau recently concluded that, by the year 2042, non-white Americans will represent 54 percent of our nation's population. Put another way, in 2042 white Americans will be a minority in the US. Will affirmative action and racial quotas then apply to white Americans? Will Jesse and Al organize boycotts for white minorities?
An Obama presidency, with reversed racial demographics coming soon, will be the end of affirmative action and racial quotas for non-white Americans. When non-whites are seeking jobs and college admissions in the near future, won't those positions go to minority whites based upon diversity and their minority status?
Obama was recently caught on camera telling Joe-the-plumber that he wants to "spread the wealth around" from higher earners to those with lower incomes, taxing high earners even more; increased wealth redistribution. Will affluent African-Americans relish their earned wealth being "spread around" to poor, less educated or less hard-working neighbors, and global citizens? When government handouts go mostly to a less employable minority, won't redistributed income (confiscated mostly from non-whites) affect the minority's motivation to excel? How will the spending spree of socialist wealth redistribution be stopped, under "Progressives", even at our borders?
Unlike Obama, a conservative black President would support policies to reward the hard work of all Americans with lower taxes, smaller government and more freedom. Our first black president should support capitalist and conservative principles, not Marxism.
Are Obama supporters really ready for higher taxes, bigger inefficient government and less financial freedom? Why not just quit your job today and go to work for a poor person? You don't need an Obama presidency to work for a poor person.

What is the most likely cause of black plastic debris in the engine of a 93 vw cabriolet.?
Working on a vw I gave to my brother. Was great to me, problem after problem since I gave it to him. Just replaced the coolant hose flange that was totally destroyed. We feared he drove it too long with smoke pouring out, but replace the part and were happy that it started right up and looked good at first.
about 10 minutes into test drive, I notice lack of responsiveness from the engine and a weird smell (burning plastic?).
We pulled into my driveway, opened up the Oil fill cap and by shining a light down there we could see a chunk of melted black plastic and pulled it out with some pliers. It looks like there is another peice in there that wont come out so easily. it looks like it could be part of the old coolant flange, but it seems like more plastic than is missing from the old part.
Any idea what that is or time for exploratory surgery? I'm gonna end up taking off the head and replacing the head gasket now huh?
That is the Oil Splash Guard.
You have to remove the valve cover to totally remove it. If the Engine got hot enough to melt that then you have some issues to deal with.
You have probably warped the head and need to remove it to have it measured and milled square. And may have floated a valve.
You will need to replace the head gasket.
You will need a new valve cover gasket, may I suggest that you buy the upgraded version from www.germanautoparts.com The upgraded versions have new shoulder studs that replace the shouldered ones that are there.
The new gasket is one piece. verses3 pieces for the old standard.
Do not over torque the nuts as they only take 17 inch pounds.
And you will need a new oil splash guard. They started installing that in 84 on all cars as if you forgot to replace the oil cap you would run out of oil in a short time.
Since you are doing so much work, I would also suggest that you replace the oil pump with the upgraded version too.
