1997 Chevy Metro random wire?
Okay, on my 1997 Chevy Metro and i was looking at the transmission and there are two random wires coming out of a small box on my transmission held on by one screw, they come out of the box and they go into one white plug? i looked at my main wiring harness and there are no unconnected plugs, i think this could be why my overdrive/lock up torque converter, does not work, please let me know what this plug does.
They were either black or just dark colors in general
It sounds like someone installed a new torque converter solenoid and forgot to plug it in or it was unplugged to hide the problem. I believe it comes out the back left/drivers side of the trans. near the side pan. The box with the screw is a positioning seal. Check for the other end, it will probably be tucked in somewhere near that plug in.
