The challenge has been met- male antagonism versus female pride is at stake. Who will win?
Long running stereotypes have existed when it comes to women vs men and buying used cars in Stafford, with women having more of an interest in 'looks and style' and men having an active interest in 'speed and engine power'. A recent study carried out by a US research firm has released results that will both surprise, shock and allow smugness for both genders.
The study states that in fact, men and women are not all that different from each other when it comes to researching or purchasing a used car. Results produced within this study show that men have preferences that may even be described as female traits.
Out of the respondents 62 per cent of women said that engine size was important compared to 48 per cent of men and that a whole third of the women questioned said that the top speed of a car was massively important to them with just a quarter of men ranking this as an important factor.
There were more men than women that also said that style was important over engine size which is a surprise and a definite point for the girls. There have been long standing jibes by males that female traits range from something 'looking nice' to 'stylish' as a ranking in importance above anything else. During the study an equal number of both males and females stated that colour was more important than speed which is also a surprise from every angle.
Wait a minute though girls, don't breathe a smug sigh in 'I told you so' just yet, there is one stereotype that is still going strong that we cannot shake. Car dealers in Stafford may even need to consider this too when targeting female buyers and that is (brace yourselves) that a massive 51 per cent of women said that the style and sophistication of the interior is very important compared to 40 per cent of men. I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting to sit in comfort is there?
Other factors of importance to the women who took part in the study include that -the vehicle is easy to park- with a massive 72% of female respondents ranking this as high on the list compared to only 59% of the male respondents. Bizarrely, 55% of women also said that storage space was important compared to 42% of men who didn't think so.
Luckily, as the female and male species collide there are two other factors that both genders agree on and they are that both fuel efficiency and small cars are preferable compared to the larger vehicles of choice. So there you have it, women like stylish interiors, high speed and good engine sizes, a small but neat body and plenty of storage space. Whereas the males are happy to settle for something that is slower, looks good on the outside and that doesn't have much under the bonnet- Sounds familiar!

Bodybuilding Basics Tips for Beginners
If you're a beginner and even an intermediate, hard work on major compound movements working the whole body are all you need. Split routines, negatives and the like are for more advanced trainers.
Beginning a muscle building program can be a little confusing, since there’s so much information out there. There are so many opinions floating around and most of them come from people who are not even qualified to give you advice.
Here are some tips that can help you get into body building, and into your first fitness club:
1. Define your personal fitness goals
Decide on what are your goals. Do you want to lose body fat and tone up or do you want to gain weight? Doing both at the same time can be achieved too but is very difficult and can lead to zigzag diets.
2. Choose a workout that's right for you
There's no such thing as a magic workout that is best for muscle building. If there was, everyone would be using it! Try different muscle building techniques for yourself and see what your body responds to.
3. Mix-up your Workout
Change your program every 6-8 weeks. There are many way of exercises that you can choose from to build the body of your dreams. For the exercises to work in peak form, you need to cycle the exercises so that all the major muscles receive their fair share of resistance training. Change the sets, switch the order of body parts, choose different exercises and vary the rest time between sets.
4. Eat healthy
Good nutrition is important when getting started on a workout program. You can have the most intense muscle building workouts you’ve ever had, but if you don’t have good nutrition, you’ll only see a fraction of the results.
You need to supply your body with the fuel it needs to respond and grow from weight training. You need protein and carbs in order to refuel your muscles after training. You also need quality, healthy fats for cell regeneration and organ protection.
5. Take a rest
Make sure that you get adequate sleep and rest.
Keep your rest intervals between sets at 45-60 seconds. This will give your muscles enough time to recover but still keep them fatigued.
Rest is another important part of muscle building. When you train you're actually breaking down muscle tissue. The actually repair and building process takes place while you're resting and asleep. If you don't get enough rest you're limiting your muscle growth potential.
Bodybuilding requires having a positive mindset to succeed. Beginners should have the right amount of commitment before going ahead with it. There is a lot of work to do. There are a lot of steps to undergo. It will be a long process but the results will all be worth it.

Help with Nervous and Endocrine Systems?
What are hormones and what do they do?
What does each of the following describe:
1.Produces hormones to control the rate at which cells burn fuel.
2.Secretes hormones associated with the digestive system.
3.Associated with the Lymphatic System.
4.Produces eggs and secretes female hormones
5.Considered the most important gland and it is called "master gland".
6.Regulates the level of calcium in the blood.
7.Secretes melatonin, a hormone to regulate sleep.
8.Secretes male hormones.
9.Produces two hormones that regulate salt and water in the body and increases blood pressure when the body experiences stress.
Explain what hormonal changes take place in a teenagers body.
What two systems is the Nervous system split into and what do they do
Which of these are part of the cerebral cortex:
occipital, temporal, cerebellum, frontal
I'm not gonna try to answer all or give long explanaitons... I don't really have the time.
1. Thyroid (Produces T3 (Tri-iodothyronine) and T4(Thryroxine) which conrtrol the basal metabolic rate of cells).
2. Pancreas (produces Insulin, Glucagon and somastatin)
(Depending on your level of study, the duodenum also sectretes hormones... look up secretin, cholecystokinin (CCK), and possibly ghrelin from the stomach....This is advanced level)
3. Adiponectin and Leptin from adipose tissue?
4. Ovaries (produces oestrogens and progesterone)
5. Pituitary gland (releases MANY things to control other glands in the body)
6. Parathyroid (releases Calcitonin to decrease Ca2+ and phosphate release from bone breakdown, and Parathyroid hormone to increase Ca2+ levels)
7. Pineal Gland in the epithalamus
8. Testes (testosterone, DHT and others...)
9. I can't think of an organ that does two hormones with effects on water and salt and increase pressure... but your options are:
Adrenal glands:
Aldosterone (promotes Na+ retention)
Cortisol (has same effects as Aldosterone but only in HIGH excess... so maybe does not count)
Posterior Pituitary:
ADH (Vasopressin)... causes water retention
Hormonal changes in a teenage.... pffffffff! Can't be bothered with that!
Nervous sytem:
Splits into CNS and PNS. CNS is Brain and Spinal cord, PNS is everything else. CNS processes and brings messages to the PNS, which enact them. (That's very brief!)
Cerebral cortex is parts of the Frontal, Temporal and Parietal Lobes.
Hope this helps! (Shame I don't need to know this right now
