Having a lift kit for your Mazda truck or SUV can increase its ground clearance, lessen its jarring that is caused by several irregularities while on the road. It also provides your automobile with a kind of beefy and unique look. Before jumping right into the world of lifted vehicles, though, you need to consider several important matters.
The debate whether you need suspension lifts or body lifts
Nowadays, lift kits have two main types that are available on the market. First, are the suspension lift kits, which are a system of springs, and are used to hoist a vehicle up by suspending its frame, engine, power train and engine above its wheels. Body lift kits, on the other hand is a system of blocks used to elevate a vehicle by suspending its body over its frame.
For performance-minded truck/SUV owners, suspension lift kits are recommended. Meanwhile, if you are more concerned with the costs, then body lift kits are definitely for you. In addition, if you are interested in lift kits because of the visual effect it offers, using body lift kits are normally much more recommended.
Furthermore, they are easy to install as compared to suspension lift kits and they do very little, even nothing that would affect the ride quality of your vehicle. Body lift kits also allow you to add bigger tires on your vehicle if you so desire. Your Mazda vehicle can also look quite tough at price that is not too costly.
Nevertheless, if you are also interested in a lift kit's performance capabilities or you are just starting to learn how to drive off road, skillfully. A suspension lift kit for your Mazda vehicle is much more preferable. Even if it could be a bit more expensive, having a suspension Mazda lift kits enhances the capability of crawling through dirt roads, trees and rocks, even water and mud. Your vehicle is given the capability of going where most other vehicles cannot go and experience being in awesome surroundings.
Once you have decided whether you will have a body or suspension lift kit for your Mazda, make sure that you know the specific type that is best for your vehicle. Performance Accessories is a world-popular company that is very much recommended if you opt for body lift kits. This company even offers other high quality components with installation instructions that are easy to follow, and with lower prices than most.
On the other hand, it could be quite a difficult deciding which manufacturer to purchase your suspension Mazda lift kit from. There are quite a lot of manufacturers, offering different features. In order to choose the correct one, you must consider the ride quality, cost, performance capability, customer service and warranty.

top mount vs front mount intercooler for Subaru Impreza WRX?
I am thinking of replacing the top mount stock intercooler with the after market front-mount intercooler. is there any significant improvement in performance or horsepower?
thanks
hi,
thanks for the answer, all are stock.
the reason i am asking is because i am replacing my damaged engine with a secondhand one. please see this question http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuNwn2o4AYU8WiT_LaUHPxlBxgt.;_ylv=3?qid=20090326171753AATWT8p
if you can help. thanks
thanks for all the answer, if an upgrade to an aftermarket top mounted intercooler is better than the stock then i will do that.
also, how do you find out which one reduces the pressure? is it the bigger the better?
I have been racing a WRX for 4 years now and have noticed a few subtle differences in the Intercooling facets of the car. My best run in the car was a water to air cooling system ($450) that negates the intercooler and uses cool water to chill the intake charge. I picked it up off of craigslist and it has worked great. I also performed a water/meth injection system from Snow Performance ($400) that has also added to the gain I see on the track.
From a racing perspective, front mounts are a waste of time unless you are running twin turbo on separate gain/lag settings with an anti lag, especially if you are running one of those fat fast and furious bumper guard intercoolers I see on the cars with black soot on the rear bumper. As well, with this being said, everyone I race with has tried, including myself, and we were not happy with the price/gain ratio of the whole ordeal, plus, most of us had damaged our intercoolers from debris on the track and bumper rub. It's not worth the money to do get minimal gains, unless you are going to look cool, then go for it. Good luck in your journey.

Dubbed 'The Kid' a few years back as a 16-year-old prodigy when drifting first took off on the island, Eric Manalo is no longer seen as someone who is 'good for his age' by his fellow drifters.
