If someone told you that the easiest and most effective way to positively affect your life was the simple act of expressing appreciation and gratitude for all that you have, would you believe it? This mission of this article is to share some of the secrets of gratitude and how harnessing its power can affect positive changes in all areas of your life. Practicing the art of appreciation for as little as 5 minutes a day can dramatically change not only your outlook on life, but change your reality as well.
Appreciation is an extraordinarily powerful emotion, and when used regularly leads to higher levels of happiness and joy. The American Heritage Dictionary's defines appreciation as: (1) Recognition of the quality, value, significance, or magnitude of people and things. (2) A judgment or opinion, especially a favorable one. (3) An expression of gratitude. (4) Awareness or delicate perception, especially of aesthetic qualities or values. (5) A rise in value or price, especially over time.
Why does recognizing quality, value, significance or the magnitude of people and things hold such a powerful key to affirmative life changes? Because appreciation is the cornerstone in the process of manifesting. When you resonate with feelings of appreciation, those feelings multiply exponentially and continue to expand. The more grateful you are, and the more intensely that gratefulness is felt, the more quickly physical reality responds. Have you ever noticed that when someone responds to you with appreciation, you feel like giving more to him or her than what you have already given?
It's impossible to hold a negative thought when you put yourself into the state of appreciation. When you appreciate what you have, you raise your awareness of everything that is going on in your life. You focus on what's working, and more things begin to work. When you see what you can accomplish, you set your standards higher. You believe that you can attract everything you want into your life, and abundance happens. Just like nature abhors a vacuum, your positive thoughts push out the negative thoughts, filling the void and creating abundant possibilities.
Gratitude is the canvas upon which your life is painted. When you feel grateful for your life, you move from doing grateful to being grateful. By broadcasting gratitude all the time, you activate the Law of Attraction. With practice, appreciation becomes part of your identity. Ultimately you attract circumstances that resonate with who you are.
A great way to start practicing gratitude is by sitting down for 5 minutes and writing a list of all the things for which you are grateful. Not only is a gratitude list one of the key ingredients used in the Law of Attraction, it's one of the easiest ways to attract more abundance into your life right now.
Start small, particularly if your "appreciation muscle" hasn't been exercised in awhile. Focus on some of the things that can change your state when you think about them. Are you inspired by a beautiful sunset? Do you love the splendor of the fall foliage or the first snow of winter? Write it down. Once you get into the rhythm of contemplating what makes you feel good, you will find yourself in the "flow." Keep writing until you're done.
Post your gratitude list somewhere you can see it every day. Add 2-3 things to it every single day. Yes, there are going to be days in your life where Murphy's Law is in full effect. Do it anyway. Even if you have to be thankful for the fact that you can get out of bed in the morning, it's a good start. Can you fog a mirror? Great! Getting rid of the "stinkin' thinkin'" that Zig Ziglar likes to talk about, even if it's just for a few minutes a day, will give you a much more positive outlook.
Be thankful for beauty and the multitude of things that are available for you to enjoy whenever you choose. We don't have to always be looking for material things. It's the abundance that surrounds us that we most often ignore.
Be grateful that you have a place to live, no matter if you're living in your dream house or far from it. If it's anything above a cardboard box, chances are good that you have it a lot better than a lot of other people on the planet. Did you turn on a light switch or flush a toilet today? Did you turn up your thermostat or cuddle up in a nice warm blanket? Be thankful for the comforts of technology.Did you have food today? Be grateful for it. It may not have been your favorite meal, but you have choices and access that others around the world envy.
Just like anything else, the habit of gratitude takes practice. As you've probably heard, it takes 21 days to form a habit, so here's the challenge, for the next 21 days commit to practicing gratitude on a daily basis. Over the next three weeks you'll have plenty of exercises to choose from and you can prove to yourself that this "appreciation thing" IS real and it DOES work. Concentrate on the good and you will receive more of it. That's how the law of Attraction works. CHOOSE to concentrate on the good that you have and more good will come to you. Concentrate on the bad and receive more bad stuff. The choice is up to you. Choose wisely.

How to Drive Your Car Safely Through Heavy Fog on The Motorway
The appearance of fog when driving your car on the motorway will place extra demands on your skills and abilities as a driver, because of the need to tailor your driving style to the prevailing conditions. In addition, you will find many other drivers are not making sufficient allowances for the conditions, which further increases the risk of potential accidents.
If the fog has been forecast to be particularly bad, then consider postponing your journey until it clears. Be aware that early morning motorway drivers are particular at risk of encountering fog, especially in the winter, and that when driving in such conditions the thickness of the fog will vary, and can be particularly thick in low lying ground or near bridges or dips.
The biggest major fault that many drivers have when they run into fog on the motorway is driving too close to the vehicle in front and driving too fast. Often a driver will mistakenly feel safer if they can see the rear lights of the car in front of them, and so will follow them too closely, without considering the effect on a safe stopping distance. Another effect of driving in fog is that a driver feels that they need to get through it as quickly as possible, and so subconsciously they speed up.
Both of these driving faults need to be guarded against when driving through fog when on the motorway. You need to set a pace that you feel is suitable for the visibility and conditions, and drive at a speed that allows you to stop safely within the distance that you can see clearly, even if this means that you lose sight of the rear lights of the vehicle in front. In such a situation you may feel pressurised by a driver who is tailgating dangerously behind you. Do not be forced into speeding up, simply let them past and continue safely on your journey.
When the fog reduces visibility below 100 meters you will need to switch on your front and rear fog lights, to improve visibility. However, avoid using your main beam headlight bulbs as the bright light can reflect off of the moisture within the fog, causing a white out effect, which will reduce even further your visibility. In addition, you should switch your windscreen wipers on to an intermittent setting, which will help to clear away the fine mist of moisture that will collect on your windscreen.
Driving in fog is extremely demanding especially on the motorway, where you are constantly straining to see the road and other vehicles ahead of you. Beware of the extra stress and fatigue this can place on you and so take regular breaks to help keep you alert and combat the tiredness.
Finally, once the visibility improves and the fog clears remember to switch off your fog lights. Leaving them on is not only a motoring offence, it can also be very annoying and distracting to other drivers, and leaving the rear fog light on can potentially mask your brake lights when they are illuminated.

how do i connect in front fog lights to focus 53 reg that does not have the wiring or switch.?
I was going to just connect up to h/lights using twin core but this might overload fuse/relay and means lights would come on every time i switch on my h/lights.But would prefer to use light switch on dash with front fog light switch combined.
Don't try and wire directly, your best be is to try your local car parts store for a universal wiring loom for a set of fog light. This will include the switch and all the relays etc.
Before you do this are you sure that the wiring is not already there? Look where the fog light switch would be on the dash, remove the blanking cover and see if there is a multi pin connector there. Often car manufacturers fit the car out will all the wires etc but without the switches and lights as it makes more sense to have one standard cable loom with all the optional extras included but not coupled up.
Ja.
