If you'd like to learn about how to unicycle, then you want to read this article. After reading this article you should be able to confidently go buy your new unicycle and go find a place to start practicing on it.
Before you learn to ride a unicycle naturally you're going to have to have one. Unicycles are sized by the diameter of the wheel similar to bicycle sizes. Most children and shorter adults will usually sit well with a 20 inch unicycle, smaller children under eight or nine years old will probably need to go with a 16 or 18 inch wheel unicycle. The main thing is to be able to sit on it comfortably and have the leg extended and knee slightly bent when the pedal is in the down position very similar to sizing a bicycle. Most adults will be best off starting out with a 24 inch or 26 inch wheel. If you're over 6 feet tall and I would go with the 26 inch wheel.
Next you'll need to choose which type of unicycle to go with. Most beginners will want to start off with the regular street and gym grade unicycle, make sure the pedals and the seat have plastic or rubber edges so they don't markup or damage a gymnasium floor if you are practicing there. The second main type of unicycle to consider is the mountain unicycle. If you are serious about unicycling and already know that you want to go off-road and will need the extra strength that the mountain unicycle gives then I would highly recommend to go with a mountain unicycle, these unicycles cost more than the average ones but they come with an extra large knobby off-road tire and stronger parts so they can hold up against the rougher conditions on mountain trails. To buy your first unicycle I would suggest checking at your local bike shop. Most bike shops will carry at least several unicycles in stock and you can sit on them and get a feel for what size your going to need. If your budget is a concern look into yard sales and the classifieds, actually I picked up my first unicycle for $15 at a yard sale and after I wore that one out and knew I was ready I'd invested in the 26 inch Sun chrome classic unicycle. Other options are to purchase your unicycle through Amazon.com or unicycle.com.
Now that you have your new unicycle in hand it's time to go out and learn how to ride the unicycle. The easiest way I have found to learn to ride a unicycle is to find a long handrail along a smooth and level walkway and hang onto the handrail and mount the unicycle and spend a few minutes getting comfortable sitting on it and make sure the seat is adjusted to the right height. After you have become comfortable sitting on the unicycle try pedaling back and forth a short distance at first. When you can hold the handrail with one hand and balance comfortably start pedaling forward using the handrail for balance to the end of the handrail then stop and try pedaling backwards the other direction. I guarantee that if you practice this every day for at least 30 minutes you'll soon be able to let go of the handrail and continue off with some degree of control. At the point where you are confident enough to let go of the handrail it helps to wildly flail your arms about for balance.
How to stay motivated and not get discouraged when learning to ride your unicycle it helps to learn with a friend or relative that way you can hold each other accountable to make your practice session each day and you can have a contest on who can ride the unicycle and let go of the handrail first. Once you're able to ride without using the handrail try having a contest for who can ride from 1place to another point try some distance of about 50 feet.
Most communities have a small juggling and unicycling club, so check around and try to get involved with your local unicycling club. Unicycle clubs have very friendly and helpful members and are glad to help someone learn to ride the unicycle. If you find your community does not have a unicycling club you can start a meet up group through meetup.com or just put an ad in your local classifieds or Craig's list and try to find if there's any interested people. Most city parks will have a suitable handrail to learn to ride on and soon people will be asking you about your unicycle and how hard it is to ride and it is a good way to meet other interested people in unicycling and get your own club going.
Most people assume unicycling is very hard to learn but the truth of the matter is it's just like learning any other sport and regular practice is required to become skilled at it most people can learn to ride a unicycle in 10 to 12 hours or less. Now you have learned how to choose the size and type of unicycle you need and where to buy your first unicycle and how to start learning to ride the unicycle and how to stay motivated to continue learning to ride it. Okay, I feel extraordinarily stupid for asking this, but I don't know.
Who are those people that you see on the movies and tv that are all on one floor that has all the mounted tvs on it? I don't really know how to explain it. Every time someone on the news or in the movies refers to Wall Street, they show that shot of the people (investors?) looking at the tvs and shouting into phones and looking important...
Who are those people and what are they doing and why?

They are floor traders, but below I laid out a very basic example to explain better.
Investor calls broker to buy 1,000 shares of Stock XYZ. The broker at whatever brokerage he is at (e.g. Goldman Sachs) then calls the floor trader he executes the trade at the exchange. The floor trader here would have to go to the XYZ booth and start trading.
The traders you usually see on movies are Commodities traders and that is a completely different ball game, but the general idea is the same.
