Now tuned "Stallone" (in translation - "The Flaming Stallion") reaches 720 hp, it's a good 100 more than the serial model, and the maximum speed is now 340 km / h. APR chip- Is it good...?
I have a stock setup in Audi 2.0T A4 and I want to know if it is smart to put the APR ECU chip on the car. Will I need to upgrade the internals first to prevent my engine breaking or will it be okay to put the ECU chip without having to upgrade the internals?
What's the worst case scenario if my internals were to break?
The APR chip was designed for a stock setup in mind. They have other choices for these cars which are designed around bigger turbos and such. These are the ones that you should look into beefing up the motor for. The chip essentially unleashes the motors real potential. Its usually detuned from the factory to run with correct emissions. The APR chip changes the tune to run the way it was designed. Other things you may want to look into to help with more power is re working the head. This is not for the faint of heart tho. Be sure to go to a reputable shop for this. There is a lot to be had from this tiny engine without diving into the internals. 300-350 hp is not too much to ask for from this motor.
