how to become a dragster builder?
I'm 16 years old and I have some experience on fabricating things out of metal. as a matter of fact my high school (Norwalk high in CA) is building a 1969 Chevy Nova... full on drag racer and as you guys might know it requires a lot of welding and custom fabrication and I'm one of the guys that welds and builds custom parts for it. I also have some experience working on engines.... I've replaced three engines and two of those I've rebuilt. I'm really into drag racing and I would love my carrer not to just be in the automotive field but I would like to build custom drag racers for a living.... what should be my first step in education be? right now I'm taking some classes at my local college to get a certificate on engine repair... but after that what??
Seriously....as the guy above said.....Go to college for mechanical engineering.....THEN....go to MMI for bikes...this is the ONLY school authorized by all major bike manufacturers. In order to get onto a team or start your own, you WILL need to know bikes....they are NOT the same as cars.....and imports are TOTALLY different than HD's.
