would a cat-add on work on my srt-4 down pipe?
i need to pass emissions and i have a downpipe with straight pipes to the tailpipe. i was wondering if i put a cat-add on to theses pipes would it work?
There's no reason you shouldn't pass with a cat and muffler... as long as all the factory O2 sensors and everything are all in place somewhere. One sensor out of place will trip your check engine light, and a check engine light might cause the inspection station to fail you.
Can you unbolt the straight pipes, or are they welded? Bolts might make things easy to swap back and forth, from inspection-ready to race-ready in the future.
