Neck injuries, primarily whiplash and soft tissue injuries, are without doubt the most common side effect of being involved in a road traffic accident with another vehicle. Thousands of accident claims every year are made by people who have injured their necks in accidents on the road. this article will highlight some general figures for compensation claims involving neck injuries, which are detailed in the 9th Edition of the Judicial Studies Board Guidelines.

Quite often, if you have been in an accident where the vehicle you were travelling in has been hit by another vehicle, the force of the impact will have left you with some form of soft tissue injury. This could be anything from minor bruising, if you are fortunate, up to severe soft tissue injuries that may leave you with lasting pain and discomfort.

Minor neck injury: Less than £1,000

At the lower end of the scale, some minor neck injuries might in fact be worth less than £1,000, which might mean a claim would have to be made through the small claims court, and you would not be able to recover any legal costs. However in cases such as these, it is worth seeking independent legal advice as it might be possible your injuries are worth over the £1,000 small claims limit.

Whiplash injuries/other minor soft tissue injuries: £850 - £8,750

Whiplash injuries and other minor soft tissue injuries to the neck are typically worth in the region of £850 to £5,000. Compensation towards the upper end of this range is paid out in cases where the recovery from the injury takes between 18 months and 2 years. In cases where a whiplash injury has taken longer than two years to recover from, or where you have been left vulnerable to further injury, the injury component of your claim would be worth £5,000 to £8,750.

Moderate neck injury: £8,750 - £16,000

Moderate neck injuries might include things like wrenching injuries and disc lesions, which might be likely to leave you with limited movement in your neck. The level of compensation you could expect to receive for injuries of this level would depend on factors like the degree of restriction to the movement of your neck. Somewhere between £8,750 and £16,000 would be what we would expect to recover for clients with these types of injuries.

Severe neck injury: £35,000 - £95,000

Severe neck injuries range from fractures and dislocations of the bones in the neck right through to incomplete paraplegia and injuries that might require you to wear a supporting neck brace 24 hours a day for several years after your accident. Severe neck injuries will be worth between £35,000 and £95,000, although cases at this level are very rare.

Being involved in an accident where you were not at fault can be, to put it mildly, an unpleasant experience. That is why accident lawyers and support staff are available to reassure you and to take the strain out of making a compensation claim against whoever was responsible for your accident and your neck injury.

Camps Solicitors can take care of your claim so all you have to concentrate on is recovering from your injuries and getting back on with your life. As well as recovering money for your injury, Camps Solicitors can also arrange for you to receive physiotherapy to help you to improve the movement in your neck and to reduce any aches or pains associated with your injury, or other medical intervention that an independent doctor recommends you to have.

Avatars of the Harley Davidson Boots For Women

If you are the adventurous types who like to veer around in your fiery two-wheeler, you don't need me to tell you about motorcycle boots or more specifically, Harley Davidson boots. You know better than me how efficiently these sleek, svelte, black mini-giants serve the dual purpose of protecting your legs and adding degrees to your macho image. Couple the Harley brand with a pair of scintillating irresistible black designer boots and what you get, is an undisputed winner.

And what's more, the comfort quotient and the durability come as additional perks. No doubt why everyone - including those who don't ride - covet a pair of these beauties!

But have you ever wondered about the types of Harley Davidson boots that may fit your style; or what qualities should you be looking for when buying one of these gorgeous pairs?

This article is a summary of a few of those finer aspects.

• This one is meant for the frugal types who look for a combo of comfort and durability. The Faded Glory boots fits their style perfectly from among all other types of Harley Davidson boots. With the lace ups and upper straps, completed with a buckle, a medallion and graphics----- this one is a sure road scorcher, even when it is not even poised on a motorcycle. And the best part is, this design is available for women as well.

• How can the discussion proceed without the mention of the very stylish long Hustin Boots? This pull-on pair, manufactured from string durable leather is the perfect assemblage of protection and ease. It is a sure bet when going out for those long dusty escapades.....it not only saves your legs from the rubble that is blown your way but also wraps your feet in pliant warmth, throughout the journey.

• And when we are talking about high-end style how can we not mention the fairer sex's obvious choice. With its dicey stiletto heels, the Desiree boots doesn't need a lot to set the road on fire. A pair of Designer Khyber boots also makes a loaded power statement when the tough girl sets out donning them.

• For the traditional male who doesn't exactly look for a Hustin, a knee-high pair of Drive -that provides for excellent flexibility - should do just good. Their upper padding around the collar ensures extra ease. Or if you are looking for arch support and a rubber sole, check out the Dipstick.

Now for some maintenance advice for all types of Harley Davidson Boots:

• Polish your pair of boots often.

• Make your boots weather resilient by using a rain and stain repellant.

So now that you know about the various types of Harley Davidson boots and the methods to take good care of them you can't wait to get your hands on one of them, right? So what are you waiting for? Go grab your pair and flaunt it off with your signature élan.

man loses job for throwing snowball at policeman?

i read about a recent court case in scotland and i didn't know whether to laugh or cry, what happened was a man was out for a drink with his friends during the recent snow falls in britain. having had a few drinks he thought it would be funny to throw a snowball at a police officers helmet. the snowball hit the police officer on the arm, and the man was arrested and charged with common assault (the lowest degree of assault in the UK). At court he pleaded guilty and received a 12 month conditional discharge( a basic warning not to do it again). The man apparently said he was sorry to the police officer and that it was just a silly prank and that he meant no harm. The man however worked with children and because of his 'conviction' lost his job. He is in the middle of an appeal, and is apparently heartbroken by this, as he has a wife and young family to support. Do you like me think that this is a total over-reaction and nonsense by the Scottish police

he's lucky, he could have been charged with assaulting a police officer. Getting convicted of a crime is grounds for dismissal from pretty much any job. Is it to much to ask that instead of getting drunk and throwing snowballs at police officers for no reason, he behave like an adult?
Chalk this up to a immaturity in a drunk. Don't blame the victim of his attack
