A friend of mine recently told me that when she opens an Avon brochure, she is completely overwhelmed by how many product choices are offered. She will tend to look at a few pages, see 10 different perfumes and 15 skin creams and not have a clue what might be best for her. While some people love having so many options, others are scared away from ever placing an order. It is for these friends that I started writing my own personal product reviews. Here are a few of the things I've fallen in love with over the past year.
Since Avon is known for their Anew line of skin care products, I'll start there. My skin is very susceptible to sun damage due to a skin condition called Vitiligo. I have to be extremely careful, especially living in California, where most of our days are beautifully sunny. For this reason, I was initially drawn to the Anew Retroactive Youth Extending Day Cream. Although this is not the cream that would have been "prescribed" for my age group, according to the Anew product line descriptions, I chose to try the Retroactive because it has an SPF of 25 (UVA/UVB), which is actually quite difficult to find in a day cream that is not specifically a sunscreen lotion. After using it for almost a year, I am still completely satisfied and will continue to use it daily. I use it in combination with the Retroactive 2-in-1 Cleanser, which is very light but effective.
When it comes to night cream, the Avon Solutions line has really grown on me- specifically the Overnight Renewing Cream. It has the most refreshing scent, and feels very light on my skin. My skin does not seem to handle oily products very well, so this has been the perfect match for me. Plus, the price, at $14.50 a jar, is really quite reasonable.
I don't wear a whole lot of make-up, but since my skin tone has changed due to the Vitiligo, I have started using a skin smoothing compact foundation that goes on creamy and dries to a powder finish. These are available with and without SPF. I prefer the Personal Match Cream-to-Powder Foundation (with SPF 10) in Buff, although that shade does change with the seasons.
Even my lip pigment has started to fade in recent months, so I have come to the realization that lipstick is going to be a part of my future daily make-up regimen. After trying a variety of types, I have fallen in love with the Glazewear line, because it just makes my lips feel the softest. It is supposed to be a combination of lipstick and lipgloss, giving it a great moisturizing shine. I just love the color choices too, although my favorite for every day wear is Rose Blush, because it is an enhanced version of my natural lip color. To line my eyes, I use the Big Color Eye Pencil, because it can be used as both an eyeliner and eyeshadow. It is a thick eye pencil that comes in the coolest colors, including Eggplant, Classic Mocha, Plum Berry, and Vanilla. (I have always been drawn to beauty product colors named after foods!)
Selling Avon has given me the opportunity to use many different products that I otherwise may never have tried. I feel especially grateful for this because of how Vitiligo has changed my appearance. I have managed to make my varying skin tone not quite as obvious with some of Avon's products. Perhaps my product reviews will also succeed in making the Avon brochure choices not quite as overwhelming for a few people.

The pattern of your lifestyle
The lifestyle and occasions of using the lipsticks must be considered while choosing the clour of the lipstick. If you are going to use this to your work place or a date in the night, then take care not to get colours like burgundy and purple as they do not suit the occasion.
The tone of your skin
The skin tone must be another factor which needs to be considered while buying lipsticks. Women who are fair should use lipsticks of bright or dark shades. They can even use dramatic shades which will garnish their fair colour.
Women with yellow undertones should opt lipsticks with warm shades which have a flattering effect.
For those with dark tones of skin lipsticks of wine, deep reds or plum colour will suit more. Those women whose skin colour is lightly toned brown shades, orange, beige or pink undertones look marvellous.
Your lip size
People who have lips which are smaller than the avergae size should choose lighetr shades to give an illusion of fuller lips and glossy.
The time when you are going to use the lipsticks
The light coloured lipsticks are preferable in day time where as one can opt for darker shades in the night. The lipsticks with glossy finish will add glamour to your evenings.
The texture.
The texture of the lipsticks must be looked into while choosing a lipstick. If you feel that the matt lipsticks leave your lips dry, then opt for something with creamy or sheer type.
The lip liner which you are choosing for using along with the lipstick must be a shade darker than the lipstick, but the family of colur should be the same. The lip liner should be used after apllying the lipstick.

When is the right time to wear red lipstick?
I love red lipstick. I'm kinda fair with blond hair and blue eyes. I think it looks good on me. However, my Mom says that red lipstick makes you look like a whore. I don't agree with that. Maybe if I'm wearing a mini skirt, thigh high boots, and a halter top but come on! If I wear it with something classy, what's wrong with it? I think that's a really old-fashioned stereotype of people who wear red lipstick! I don't think it's really appropriate like during the day at work but going at night, it's great! Your thought??? Lancome makes this wonderful red lipstick just called "Ruby" that I love...
Red is a very intense and feminine color and not many people can take it (same goes to red nail polish). But if you can, flaunt it. And no, it doesn't make you look like a whore. I'll say you have the perfect combination for red lipstick: fair complexion, blonde and have blue eyes.
It is those people who arent suitable for red lipsticks that give them a bad name. it looks horrible on them. their main purpose is to attract attention and red is indeed very eye-catching.
