Canine obedience training can often seem a daunting and overwhelming task. This doesn't have to be the case. There are many tools that can be used to make this task easier and less stressful. These include clicker, leases, muzzles, halters, bark collars, and electronic collars. We will discuss a few of these in detail.
A clicker is made up of a small plastic box with a piece of formed metal inside. It will emit a clicking noise by pressing down and releasing the metal. This sound is an attention getter for most dogs. Once the animal is taught to recognize the sound, he can discern it over long distances and lots of noise. This device is typically used for trainers using the positive reinforcement training method.
There are a variety of leases. These tools can range from short leashes of only approximately 2 feet long to very long leashes that are 20 feet or longer. Shorter leases are typically used for behavior such as the sit or stay commands or when walking in large crowds. Longer leases are used for behavior that allow freedom. These come with features such as the retractable leash which is on a spring loaded spoil. This allows the dog to explore but will coil back as the animal returns preventing tangling.
Halters are an extension of the collar, which is secures around the upper body of the dog allowing more control for the owner and less strain for the dogs neck. Halters are also used for police dogs and seeing eye dogs.
Another device commonly used is the electronic collars. There are many types of these available including the bark collar. A bark collar fits around the dogs neck just like a regular collar but has a small box which sense the vibration of the dogs bark. This collar will then emit either an electric shock, a high pitched sound or an odor such as citronella which most dogs find very unpleasant.

Kundalini yoga is the divine energy within each person. Kundalini yoga is the energy that gives us life the same energy that gives life to the universe. Kundalini yoga is represented as a "coiled serpent" in the chakra at the base of the spine in each human the serpentine divinity who sleeps within each individual until awakened. The three coils of the serpent represent prana kundalini (the energy that gives the physical body life), chitta kundalini (the energy of our mind/emotions), and para kundalini (the energy of our spiritual self). As the energy that lies dormant in each person is released, it moves up the spine, activating the psychic mechanism. Deeper awareness and consciousness is experienced in the unfolding of and flow between those chakras.
Kundalini yoga is the rising of the kundalini, piercing and releasing the awareness within each chakra that cuts through our tensions, blocks, ignorance, and ego. Ultimately, the kundalini moves up through all of the major chakras and rests in the chakra at the top of head, called the sahasrara chakra. This is the Sacred Space where we become completely aware of our total unity with the Divine. Shaktipat means the descent of grace, or transmission of energy, and it is a vitally important presence in the awakening of the kundalini and Shaktipat can be received from the teacher in four primary ways through look, touch, thought, and word. In the Tantric tradition shaktipat is understood to be the highest form of spiritual initiation, providing the initiate with immediate access to the divine energy dwelling within.
Kundalini yoga is the fire that ignites and sustains the release and rising of the kundalini. Shaktipat activates the process through which a human being recognizes the intrinsic unbounded love that already dwells within their own heart. It is that love that ultimately reveals the secrets of our existence and our experience of the unity in all of life. Kundalini is the energy of life, or the Divine, as it is experienced in the individual.
Shaktipat is that same energy, transmitted from the teacher, which awakens that awareness within the student. Kundalini is the power of life; shaktipat is the switch that turns it on. Does snow pile up around a heat pump effect it's efficiency?
I recently moved a Carrier heat pump to a different area of the house to limit the noise. It is on pedestals about 6 inches off the ground and works well. The unexpected problem that happens perhaps 3-4 times a year involves a heavy blizzard. It is just below a steep pitched roof that extends three stories on the northwest corner of the house. Once the blizzard is over and the melt begins (like today), the snow from the large roof slides down the steep pitch and plops onto the heat pump covering 1/3 to 2/3 of the unit. The upper fan blows the top off quickely, but I get an Icy glaze around the outside coils for a few days. I hear the defrost mode and the pump seems to work fine. I just have a concern that this may not be a condition it was designed to withstand for a while. (like water resistant watches in swimming pools- works for a while) Any ideas out there?
If it will affect the efficiency I am not sure. But I know it can't be good piled up around the unit. While the top may be cleared quickly, the coils are blocked and it is going to reduce the flow of air. As you probably know, the condenser fan pull air into the unit thru the coils, and up and out of the unit. The snow is blocking that air flow and it can't be good at some point.
I would remove it as soon as you had a chance.
