how much would it cost me to customize a sportster?
I'm going to be buying a 91-99 sportster and i want to customize it. handlebars (probably like drag bars but maybe ape hangers if i don't find them too uncomfortable), small rear fender, a small gas tank (i think its like a bobber gas tank but I'm not sure), spoke rims, seat, loud pipes...im not that big into chrome but i want to get a paint job. i think the picture in my head is an old school bobber idea...ne suggestions would be awesome but mostly im just looking to see how much it could cost me. i dont need the top of the line products, i just want to make the bike my own. also, what kind of work would this entail? im an idiot with a wrench but my dads been riding since forever and has been working on them for longer but I'd like to know what im getting him into before i spring it on him
