Here are some more information for Chip Subaru Impreza:

Though the World Rally Championship might conjure up images of cars emblazoned with advertising speeding through muddy forests or rolling over and over again, the cars that are driven on the racing circuit are actually not dissimilar to many family hatchbacks and sedans. Sure, the WRC cars are stripped to the bone and have a lot more grunt, and of course they're tuned for racing, but beneath all this there's the chassis of a familiar car you might see driving around your local neighborhood.
So if you're looking for a car inspired by rallying, it's worth noting that Japanese brands like Mitsubishi and Subaru produce vehicles which not only offer the driving excitement and toughness of a rally car, but also include all the creature comforts you need to keep everyone in your family safe and comfortable.
The Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart models come in either hatchback or sedan guises. All Ralliart models come with a 2.0 liter turbocharged and intercooled MIVEC engine under the bonnet, so these vehicles are no slouches in the performance department. A high-performance suspension, dual chrome exhaust pipes, twin clutch sports shift transmission, 18" wheels, and chrome belt line molding round off this sharp and elegant looking car which is capable of producing a powerful 177kW of power @ 6000rpm.
Additional features include sports style seating, a 6-disc CD player with MP3 capabilities and optional premium Fosgate audio system with 9 speakers, alloy pedals, chrome trim, active stability control, hands-free Bluetooth option, and keyless entry. Not forgetting safety of course, all Ralliart models include passenger and driver airbags including side-curtain airbags, and knee airbags for the driver.
Mitsubishi has been producing rally cars since the 1970s, and this technology and expertise extends to their family sedans and hatchbacks. But even with this racing pedigree, the Ralliart range remains affordable and practical. In the World Rally Championship, drivers like Tommi Makinen have been able to exploit the Lancer's speed and ruggedness to achieve success, and now the public can get a taste of this in an exciting but safe road-legal vehicle.
Other Japanese car manufacturers like Subaru also have a World Rally Championship history. Their high performance Impreza WRX range was introduced in the 1990s and like Mitsubishi, has achieved a great deal of success on the world rally stage. The Impreza range features permanent all-wheel drive, as do the Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart sedan and hatchback, which ensures a firm but nimble ride, and secure handling in all weather conditions including rain and snow. But even on dry roads, the benefits of all-wheel drive inspire confidence for drivers and passengers alike.

Pocket Rocket Gave A Benefit To Road Racer Cars
Just because your car is small, doesn't mean that it has to be slow. In fact, some of the fastest cars on the road today are subcompacts. How so? Because their owners have modified them to the point where they can squeeze out additional horsepower and acceleration. Let's take a look at six cars that qualify as genuine "pocket rockets."
For the sake of argument, here are some ground rules for a pocket rocket:

The car must be a compact or smaller.

The engine must be normally aspirated; no turbo charged cars – four cylinders only.

New versions of the car must all retail for less than $20,000.
The following six cars all qualify as pocket rockets when each of the above stipulations has been met:
Pocket Rockets Features

Dodge Neon; Ford Focus; Honda Civic; Scion tC; Subaru Impreza; and Volkswagen Golf.
Ford Focus – A lemon no more! Earlier models of the Focus were problem plagued, but the car has made significant strides in the past few years and has received Consumer Report's recommended buy label too. The stubby ZX3 produces 136 horses with its 2.0L engine
Honda Civic – Redesigned for 2006, the Civic has been a fan favorite for over thirty years. Its teeny 1.8L engine pushes out an impressive 140 horses. The new Civic is a far cry from the "pregnant roller" skate look of the first Civics. Owners are grateful.
Scion tC- Unlike its two boxy brethren, the tC is sleek looking and has a rocket demeanor. With a 2.3L under its hood, the tC has the second largest engine of any car in this class. You net 160 horses with the Scion.
Subaru Impreza – The biggest car in this class has the most powerful engine, a 2.5L boxter engine producing 173 horses. Very competitive with larger and more powerful cars, but a favorite among "pocket rocket" fans nevertheless.
VW Golf – A 2.0L 115hp drives the Golf, but the car's light weight allows for it to buzz down the highway at a fairly good clip.
Favorite ways of squeezing out additional power for pocket rocket owners include installing the following aftermarket parts:

Reusable air filters; top providers include: K&N and Green.

Cold air intake systems; favorites include: K&N, AEM, and Airaid.

Cat-back exhaust systems; leading manufacturers include: Magnaflow and Vibrant.

Performance chips; Hypertech and Jet Chips lead the way.
Performance level increases are measured in horsepower, thrust, and acceleration. Depending on the parts installed and model selected, improvements can range from slight to significant. Regardless, all six models have the potential of becoming true pocket rockets and that is part of the thrill in owning one.
Cars measured in horsepower are:

Hi I am Melisa Nathan, i have done Automotive engineering from Clemson University USA. Are You Looking About Automotive engineering Or luxery cars. Visit http://www.elantra.org
i just bought a car a 1998 Subaru impreza?
the rims on it are chrome and they are a bit scratched how can i fix that could i respray them?
and is there any way i can fix stone chip the cars color is silver
yeah if you're looking for a cheap solution, you can repaint the wheels with chrome paint or try a scratch remover on them. You can try a scratch remover on your car or touch up paint, but touch up paint will always look different from the rest of the car because of the effects of heat on the car's paint. Subaru touch up paint can be ordered from the dealer and costs $3.70 or so (for me), with next-day pickup. silver is somewhat difficult to fix with regular spray paint - i tried that on another car. You can also get an estimate or two from a detailer or body shop. Detailers are usually cheaper.
2003 Subaru Impreza WRX from Australia and New Zealand - Comments
Hey mate thanks for replying to my question, I was seriously looking at getting a WRX, but was told to look at the evo VII GTA, which has the INVECS 5 speed tiptronic gearbox, same concept as the WRX's sport mode.
Thanks for visiting!
