Here are some more information for Change Gear Oil:

If you own a car you know how expensive it can be to replace it. In these tougher economic times it makes sense to give your car regular maintenance so that you can not only keep the car running in tip top shape but so that you don't have to replace the car too soon.
Every 2 Weeks
A good mechanic will tell you that every couple of weeks (or 3,000 miles) you should check the engine oil, transmission fluid and coolant. Keep a written record so you know when you need to check these items again. You will want to change the oil and oil filter about every six months.
Monthly
About once a month you should check the tire pressure. Having properly inflated tires will not only help reduce wear and tear on the tires but means you will use less gas to run the car.
At 6 Months or More
Every six months or so you should rotate the tires and once a year you should flush the radiator, replace the anti-freeze and check the air conditioning system. It is a good idea to change the spark plugs at around 24,000 miles or every two years. As well you should change the automatic transmission fluid and filter.
Brakes should be checked every 50,000 miles or so. If they need to be replaced make sure you take your car to a licensed mechanic and it's always a good idea to get at least three estimates from different mechanics before you decide who will change the brakes.
In order to make sure you are taking the best care of your car, read the owner's manual. Not only will it give you all the information you need to know about the car it will also give you an idea as to a maintenance schedule.
If you feel that you can do some of the maintenance yourself to save some money, get some books or videos to make sure you know what you are doing. You can also get your mechanic to give you some tips on how to check and change the oil, transmission fluid, tire pressure and coolant.
To make sure your car gets the best maintenance find a good mechanic that you can trust and set up a routine for your car's maintenance. Finding a good mechanic can make the difference in the length of time you keep the car. They will not only be able to save you money in the long run but give you some piece of mind about the car's safety.
Another way to make sure your car lasts longer is to park it in a garage or at least a carport when you aren't using it. This will help to protect the car's exterior because repainting your car can be very expensive.
According to Consumer Reports, if a car is well maintained it should last for 200,000 miles or more. With proper maintenance and repairs you will be able to spend more time on the road and less time visiting a mechanic. For more budgeting ideas check out http://betterbudgtetingsecrets.blogspot.com/
The Motorcycle Gear Every Biker Needs
The hobby of owning and operating a motorcycle has become so popular over the past couple of decades that the accessory world has boomed too. The responsibilities of people owning a motorcycle include purchasing a helmet, eye protection, a Full face guard, long pants, boots, driving gloves, goggles, an insurance policy and other items. Some states in the country require all motorcycle riders to wear a helmet when operating the bike no matter what their age is.
Motocross helmets and BMX helmets are some of the motorcycle gear that can be purchased by customers at stores such as the ones operated by Harley Davidson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Fiberglass is used to make some helmets these days while other ones are carbon fiber helmets.
The replacement of the motorcycle's tires after wear and tear is one aspect of maintenance that needs to be performed along with filling the gas tank, changing the oil, and having the bike inspected. Icon gear is one of the most popular categories of motorcycle gear available for purchase on the market today. Biker jackets, patches, gloves, boots and other items are just some of the things that fall into the category of icon gear. Bike exhausts, motorcycle covers, battery charges, a bike stand, luggage to be stored on the bike and tie downs are just some of the extra equipment that can be purchased for a motorcycle. Some motorcycles come equipped with storage compartments for the biker to store his or her wallet, insurance card, cell phone and other items while riding on the bike. A Harley Davidson store and stores on the Internet sell side compartments for motorcycles if the bike does not come equipped with these helpful storage items. Finding a motorcycle accessory shop near where the biker lives isn't hard to do. Just type in what accessory the biker needs in a search engine and begin looking through the results. All bikers should consider purchasing goggles or driving sunglasses to protect their eyes from road debris if they do not wear a full face mask on their helmet. Making sure that the driver is shaded from the sun will help ensure his or her safety when on the road.

how do i change gear box oil on a 2000 2.7 manual terrano?
The drain plug is on the bottom of the gearbox, the filler & level plug is on the nearside of the box.
Drive the vehicle to warm up the oil, then drain & allow to completely empty. Replace drain plug & refill with 3.5 litres of API GL-4 oil.
Let me know if you need further info.

1964 Humber Sceptre from UK and Ireland - Comments
Clutch went recently. Engine stalling problem. traced to a badly blocked up air filter. Self induced minor electrical problems. Very nicely styled, similar to the larger super snipe series cars and the early 60's american saloons.
