The New for 09 Corvette ZR-1 will accelerate from 0-60 in around 3.5 seconds and should do the quarter mile in about 11 seconds flat. How's that for numbers!

So where does this ZR-1 fit in? Well, my friends this new ZR-1 will take on the extreme exotics of the world and beat them at their own game. The ceramic brakes are similar to what you would see on the $1 million plus Bugatti Veryon!

So what about the details of that Go Power:
The LS9 engine, interestingly enough, is based more on the "base" LS3 engine rather than the LS7, Z06 Engine. 76% of the parts are interchangeable.
The all-new blower is provided by Eaton and is the sixth in its series of Roots-type superchargers. This Twin Vortices Series rides between the cylinder banks, making max boost of 10.5 psi, and Chevy claims an increase in efficiency and noise reduction over past superchargers. An air-to-liquid intercooler sits on top of the supercharger. By lowering the engine inside the car, engineers were able to avoid the telltale hood bulge required for most superchargers. As a result, hood height only increases an inch, although there is little space between the outside of the hood and the engine. The LS9 uses a forged steel crank and pistons and has a lower 9.1:1 compression ratio compared with the 10.7:1 ratio of the LS3. The connecting rods are titanium, like the LS7's. The LS3 and the LS9 have identical valve diameters, but the blown engine gets titanium intake and sodium-filled steel exhaust valves. This ZR-1 will be capable of nailing 60mph in first gear! It will come with only a 6 speed manual Tremec unit with very close ratios.
This car will also have Fat tires to assist with handling and acceleration times. The ZR1 gets 285/30-19s up front and 335/25-20s at the rear.
This car will proudly display weight reducing carbon fiber components, although the ZR-1 is expected to weigh in about 150 pounds heavier. No big deal, when one takes into consideration the additional performance that has been engineered in. Take for example the fact that GM says the ZR1 will be first to offer clear-coat carbon-fiber exterior panels designed to last the life of the car. The chemical additive in the clear-coat costs more than $60,000 a gallon, officials say.
So this "standard Corvette" will top 200 mph and will also top the $100,000 mark - still an unbelievable value by any stretch.

This is referred to as a car’s drag with all its standard equipment and fluids onboard such as gas, oil, coolant, etc., which cumulatively account for more pounds than what you usually know.
Finally, but certainly not the least priority in comparing cars, the vehicle identification number (VIN). It is a code of letters and numbers reveals the manufacturer and where it was made and when. It further goes along with other miscellaneous details. This is more important in used vehicles in order to investigate its reported history.

blower motor question?
dont call me stupid im only an 18 year old grease monkey. and i still have alot to learn. im looking to put a 5.9 liter 360 small block into my dodge and i want to add as much horsepower as i can afford. im just curious, do i need to buy a full supercharger kit or cani just put on a blower motor?? i dont know much about superchargers.

ok well can i just buy a blower motor or do i need to buy the whole supercharger kit
ok first off the kit is coming with the gaskets, pulleys, and belts. i guess if you want to buy them seperately then go ahead. but probably cheaper to go with the kit. second off a blower is a supercharger. different terms. a turbocharger and a supercharger are different though.
