zx6r brake pads?
I have a 2005 zx6r(c1h) I am about to put braided lines on it but may as well go the whole hog and put high performace pads on too. Can anybody recomend a good set of high performance pads any advice/experiance would be appreciated.

Superior by Far in every single aspect of what makes a pad good/pad.
Nothing else even comes close.
Even PRICE,,,they're 'bout 1/2 the price of factory pads.
And also in terms of "cost per mile"---The Pads last as long as any,,,and have lowest Rotor Warp/Wear of any pad.

Disassemble Master Cylinder and clean it thoroughly.
Lighly polish bore with 600grit wet/dry paper.
Easy way is to:
* cut a strip,
*tape it to a pencil or dowel rod(like making a flag)
*Wrap it around the stick till it's a Very Light fit in M/Cyl bore
*Lube it with WD40
--make sure your strip & wrap is "Square" on far end so you can reach deep end of M/Cyl Bore
--You CAN use a Drill on Slow Speed,,,,but only for a VERY brief time.
You are NOT trying to BORE the cylinder or remove any metal,,
But ONLY to give it a thorough "scrubbing" and light polishing to remove the surface oxidation(which is almost invisible)
Otherwise,,,You're playing "Russian Roulette".
When you begin trying to Bleed the hydraulic system You'll be jamming the rather Delicate and somewhat Aged M/Cyl Piston into an area of the cylinder which it's never been before,,,
it never reaches there under normal operating conditions.
And into an unknown number and variety of physical conditions,contaminants,etc.
All AFTER having exposed the system to outside atmosphere.
Maybe you NEED to,
Maybe ya Dont.
Very Possibly everything's fine.
Several potentials exist that it's Not.
Some probs may occur right away,,,
Others may not manifest themself for weeks or months.
See the words "Maybe ,Possibly,May,Potential"???
And the uncertainty of TIMING?
