As a BMW diesel owner you have a number of options if you are planning to increase the performance of your car. There are a large range of BMW diesel models, and though the details of each model differ, the choice to make is the same whether you own a 320d, 330d, or a 535d.

The advantages of this system include the fact that it is easy to fit - in fact you only need to plug it in and it works. In addition it is completely reversible, so if you were to sell the car you can keep the tuning box - perhaps having it re-programmed for your new model.
Looking at a few popular BMW models will allow us to see what kind of improvements are possible using this method. The BMW 320 D E46 is a popular diesel model, and comes in a variety of derivations. The 150PS model can be increased to 190 PS using a tuning box, while the maximum torque increases from 330Nm to 410Nm. The 535 D is another popular model, with the 286PS engine able to upgrade to 340PS or power using the piggy back method, and torque increasing from 580 to 700Nm.
Let's also have a look at the process of fitting a piggy back engine tuning box to your BMW car. It appears to consist of: opening the bonnet, switching off the ignition. The engine cover must be removed using socket head (Allen Key) screws. Next the injection pump must be found - it is normally on the right under the cover on the 320D models, though instructions will help you locate the pump on other models. Performance boosts on a Mazda 626?
So i have a 1997 Mazda 626, what can i do as far as performance boosts? Ive heard of performance chips but sort of skeptical about the ones on Ebay, (I.E the RSC and boss) But if they really do work, even to boost HP by 15 or anything along those lines tell me. What about turbo kits and superchargers? Cold Air Intake? Anything else i could do?
You have to be careful with chips because they screw around with the ECU a lot. They do work but sometimes can have a catastrophic effect on your engine. Horsepower readings are generally exaggerated. Turbo's are better than superchargers because they are easy to install, cheaper and better on gas. Superchargers on the other hand give you full boost at idle and you don't need to wait for them to kick in at a certain rev. I love superchargers a lot but they are generally expensive, difficult to install and use up a lot of gas. Cold air intakes air good but only give you a bit of power and you need to be rolling for them to really work. Here are some free stuff to give you more power. Intel is planning a second significant update to its ultra-low voltage mobile chips besides what's on schedule for the summer, according to leaks. Besides the 1.33GHz Core i7 slated for the summer, a 1.46GHz Core i7, the 680UM, is also now believed due for the fall. The chip would still have the same 18W thermal peak power but would clock up to 2.53GHz in Turbo Boost mode....
