The performance of its products and service standards has made the company a trusted and one of the best brands for buying carburetors. However, most of the people find Holley Carburetor Identification difficult. It is because of the reason that there are several models available and each of them has a different code, which is stamped upon in a very fine manner. On reading these codes or part numbers, one can get all information about the type of carburetor he or she is using.
There are large number of product models are available in market and each of them possesses a different code on it. Holley carburetors have a specific code embedded on them, which help in their identification. Either a three-character or four-character date code is used, depending upon the date of production. It is called as "List Number". This list number is engraved on different parts of carburetor according to model type. For example, in most of them, it is stamped into upper right corner of the choke tower. But in case of Model 4510 HP that does not have a choke tower, it is stamped into the main body. With the help of this list number, the carburetor is identified by the mechanic.
You can conduct Holley carburetor identification of your own by using this simple method. Using a degreaser and a wire brush, clean the sides of carburetor above choke tower. There you will find the part number, starting with "R" and followed by a code. You can refer this code or number with Holley Part Number Reference Guide and get all information about your carburetor. Even if you could not find access to this reference to guide, you can write to company's Technical Support department and they will help you in Holley Carburetor Identification.

Carb Counting Simplified
To paraphrase a Chevrolet ad, it used to be that the only carbs we counted were under the hood. Today, we count carbs as if it is a paying job. Are those complex carbs, simple carbs, Rochester carbs? How many can I have? Zero grams? Twenty? One hundred and twenty?
A few years ago, a diet called the Atkins diet took the world by storm. It told us to eat cheeseburgers with no buns and have bacon and eggs every morning for breakfast. The Atkins diet will help you lose fat by forcing your body to use it as fuel. By depriving your body of carbohydrates and only giving it proteins, the body turns to its fat stores for energy.
The Atkins diet is a great short term solution--especially if you have a lot of fat to burn--but it can be very damaging in the long term. Your body needs 120 grams of carbohydrates for your brain and liver to function properly. Depriving your body of these essential nutrients can cause damage over the long term and, in the short term, can cause you to lose your mental focus and have a general feeling of poor well being.
Like anything else in this life, carbs are okay in moderation. Try to stick to complex carbs throughout the day. Foods like brown rice, oatmeal, whole grain pasta and whole grain bread will provide energy without the bloat. Save the simple carbs like biscuits, honey, bread sticks and anything with bleached flour for a post workout meal as your body will crave the sugars to fight catabolism. Try to avoid the most prevalent simple carb delivery devices—snack cakes (Twinkies, Ding Dongs, Ring Dings, etc).
There are simple carbs out there that are okay and do not promote weight gain. In fact, you've probably heard of most of them. They are called "fruit" and can be found in almost any grocery store. Apples, blackberries, raspberries, cherries, lemons, peaches, strawberries and pears all have natural simple sugars, taste great and do not promote weight gain.
Continue to count your carbs and tune your Holley, just make sure you're counting the right carbs and not putting a size 88 jet into a Fuji apple.

It looked like a
Triumph TR 7, but as the black, cheery wedge cruised into the Steak ’n Shake cruise-in, the sound and rear tires indicated it was something very different.“Yeah, it’s my wife’s car; I built it for her, and she lets me drive it all the time,” explained Chris Hamlin. “I found it about six years ago, and Dot, my wife, said she had always wanted a Triumph TR 7. But I’m a hot rodder ...
