Jet Stream Electric Superchargers Review
Last week, I had contacted a large producer of Electric Superchargers via eBay. The organization name was "superchargers4less". Here is my Honest Jet Stream Electric Superchargers Review.
Now, I did not pay a dime for this; I had contacted them more than a interval of two days asking if they would permit me to "test" the supercharger, and prove to everybody that is been sceptical about purchasing 1 of those setups. The only catch was that it needed to be returned, and that I had to write a evaluation (extremely good or bad.) So right here it is.
When it initial arrived, I was impressed from the packaging. I opened it up, and there it was piled beneath some newspaper. As I plucked the gloss black charger from the packaging, I discovered enclosed inside a sealed bag a 6 amp change, a good long piece of 14 gauge braided blue wire, and instructions with pictures.
Now prior to I go any additional, I guess I need to explain what this can be going on. The test automobile is my daily driver -- My 1991 Chevy Cavalier Z24. It includes a somewhat significant motor I guess, in comparison to what most folks most likely set these goods on, as it is a 3.1 liter V6. The other modifications performance-wise which are presently completed to the vehicle are ported consumption manifolds and an underdrive pulley. It also features a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler, but without the rest of the exhaust you cannot count it much.
Alright back to the evaluation. I didn't actually possess the proper equipment (i.e., a dyno or flowbench) to test this piece out with to find out what kind of gains I felt. All I needed to rely on throughout this test was seat with the pants feelings, a increase gauge, and my hand to really feel the airflow from your blower.
So the set up begins. Initial factor I notice that's going to become a large difficulty is that the inlet for the intake side of the blower has some sort of weird flange on it rather than only a 3" round neck. So following thinking, I took a journey to Autozone and obtained some sort of weird adapter issue that I saw on the shelf. I grabbed that and some Insane Glue and came house. Right after making use of an absurd quantity of ridiculous glue, I got the neck adapter located around the outlet. To make sure this wasn't just heading to interrupt off as I was driving, I also put a hefty amount of JBStick around it to support safe it to the supercharger. I let it cure for about an hour.
Basically the the whole installation speaks for by itself following that difficulty was solved. I hooked it up to the intake, but left the air filter off as a result of clearance difficulties. Then I just ran the wiring to a switch I utilized to get for my cooling fan override switch, and just ran the wiring straight to that. Postive and negative appear from the blower motor; the adverse to a floor and the postive to the switch. An additional good arrives off the switch to a energy supply. I'm wanting something absolutely SICK!?
I have an '07 GT w/ a 2.6L Kenne Bell supercharger w/ other light mod work done, and the most I've got on 8lbs of boost is 460 to the rear wheels and 495 RWHP on 10lbs.
I've tuned to 14lbs the other day but didn't really run it hard because I didn't feel comfortable running 14lbs with just basically the charger. I could probably squeeze 515-520 to the rear wheels with a bigger pulley on 14lbs.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the results I get now. I can stand on it from a 35MPH roll and it will bark the tires. But I want MORE!
How does some people get 800+ out of their vehicles?
Take out the 2.6L twin screw and throw in a 2.8HO blower or convert to centrifugal?
Please don't suggest I go the twin-turbo route.
Your going about it all wrong, Your making boost on an engine that isnt ment to run pressure. What you need to do is tear down the motor and Notch Your pistons, then run lower compression(Mustangs run usually around 10:0:1 or 9:0:1 depending on the year.) You wanna run around 6:0:1 or 7:0:1 if you wanna gain alot more boost. Dont stroke an DOHC, you will end up spending alot more in getting custom cams. Get a more free flowing intake, that will give you alot more room for the air to move, cool the air with an intercooler. Get Your heads eather ported, or run new ones. Then get that thing cammed, camming the car will kill your bottom end torque, but your top end will greatly improve. Its all a matter of how much money can you dump, those cars that run 800+ hp usually have more money in the car than what its worth.
