Here are some more information for Block Chevy Intake:

In bracket racing is there advantages of running a big block over a small block? It all depends on what you really want to do. There are plenty of small blocks out there with standard 23 degree heads that keep up with the big blocks. With the inches you can get out of a small block these days you can have a small block appearance, but really have as big and in some cases more cubic inches than a big block.
From my experiences and what I've seen at the track most small blocks will outrun the big blocks in the short times early in track, but the big blocks will run bigger mile per hour. With the small blocks weighing less and having almost as much if not as much stroke as some big blocks they are able to take off better, but with the flow from the big block heads they are able to get more horsepower and turn that into big mile per hour. In order to get a small block to run as good as a big block in the long run it would probably take more $ to be able to keep up with the big blocks.
To get a fairly light car to run in the 10 second range it would take a pretty good built small block with aftermarket heads to accomplish that. With the big block you can take a basic motor with 10:1 compression, little head porting and mild cam and still be able to run on pump gas to go in the 10's. When you get down the 8-9 second range it's much more difficult to get a 23 degree headed small block to go especially into the 8's unless it's in a very light car. You can spend almost as much money for a 434 c.i. small block shortblock as you would spend on a 565 c.i. big block.
In my opinion big blocks are the way to go bracket racing. It takes less work to go as fast if not faster than a small block. It's alway great to see a fast small block but big blocks are the way to go.

How to Start Bidding for Online Auctions
Auctions have been around for many years and even before supermarkets and stores, one of the most popular means of getting rid of items was to auction them off to the highest bidder. Today, the popularity of auctions is increasing once again with the climbing interest rates and the accessibility to auctions via the internet.
There are tons of auction sites online that offer anything and everything you can imagine, from automotive parts and cards to jewelry and dolls. When you are looking for the most popular categories online you will find that clothing, furniture and appliances rank highly as do cars and auto parts. People are constantly looking for a good deal on Urban Outfitters or Abercrombie and Fitch apparel and no mechanic can pass up a good bargain on a Corvette water pump.
At various auctions sites you can get items like Stihl chainsaws, Air Compressor Miata window, Urban outfitters, Abercrombie Forever 21, Crusader, Abercrombie and Fitch, Flstn, Accel distributor, Carvin, Corvette water pump, Small block chevy intake manifold, Unimog, Axo, Bose radio, Mopar intake manifold, Snap on pliers, Camaro cd, and Vortec engines Astatic for really cheap prices. They will not only be cheap because of the nature of the auction, but obviously many of the items will be second hand. This does not mean that they will be in terrible conditions, but you will have to make sure there is nothing wrong with any items before you place a bid on it.
Bidding on the popular online auction categories can be hard because there are so many other people eyeing the same thing you are and sometimes with the popularity of an item, the price can actually go higher than expected and sometimes higher than it is worth. This is why if you are going to start bidding on that Bose Radio, you must learn how to bid carefully and strategically so that you can win the item at a good price. One of the first things you should do is set aside a certain amount that you will spend as your budget and do not deviate from it at all. The nature of the game is that you will win some and lose some, but it is also that there will always be lots of items that people are auctioning off that you can get next time. When you start bidding, look to see if there is a reserve on the item. If there is, then it usually means that the item is going for a higher price and the owner wants to make sure that this price is met.
When you start bidding, try to only start your bidding towards the end of the auction. Keep an eye on it and watch until you get down to the last minute or so. There will usually be a count down timer so you can see every second and then right at the last possible moment you can place your bid. Some auctions will restart from 1 minute again so ensure that everyone has a fair chance, but most will simply end, giving you the advantage if you bid very late. It also ensures that you don’t push the price up unnecessarily by going up against another bidder.

small block chevy heads?
i have a 300hp 350 sbc its a stock long block with edelbrock perforer inthat and 600cfm carb. i want to put aftermarket set of heads on it and found couple of set cheap. both are world products sportmans 2s. one is stock 200 intake runners and 202/160 valves the other is 200 intake runners and 205/162 valves with roller springs. a small roller cam isnt a problem but is the valves size too much. both are the same price. im goin with a single plane intake and new cam and headers.
sorry. 64cc 9.4-1 compression ratio. 91-93 octane gas i do have a drum of VP110 in the garage i can mix with the gas also. this is a high performence truck it will see the hwy and off roads also
YOu'll need a fel pro 1094 head gasket to tighten quench if the block has not been decked. It's also free compression as well as octane demand reduction at the same time.
For what you are doing, there is not a head you can buy that is going to beat a factory 062 casting Vortec Head from idle to 6000 RPM. NOTHING! The Vortec Heads will flow equal to most 200 cc runner heads with only 170 cc runners. The head with the best average flow numbers to it's runner volume will make the most power across the board...EVERY TIME!
The big intake port heads along with the big valves will DESTROY cylinder filling air speed. The bigger valves will also hurt velocity around the valve. Especially if you throw a bunch of lift at it. The engine is going to be a total pig below 3500 no matter what you do for cam timing. I am a cam designer/manufacturer & full competition race engine builder. I also do lots of mud bog/mud racer 4X4 engine builds.
Skimping on cam timing with a big port head in effort to band aid the low speed performance losses of a big port head will never make up for it on the top end.
You need to put in a fast ramp cam. Fast ramp cams are clearance ramp cams, not Hydraulic cams. Fast ramps will lie to the engine and make the head fill the cylinder.
Torque is the answer and air speed in the intake port is the solution for torque.
Don't over octane the engine, either. It will slow the flame front way down and up your spark advance requirements which will negatively impact your torque and kill the BSFC.
Miscellaneous
I drive an older car. A 1995 Ford Crown Victoria. I have serviced this vehicle by the book since new. The car is in pristine condition. My fear is that if I’m involved in a collision or if the vehicle is stolen I won’t receive what I deem the value of my car.
