Home-based businesses are a huge phenomenon mainly fueled by the advent of the Internet. One very popular subgroup of these businesses is known as MLM (Multi-level marketing). When you make the decision to commit your time and efforts into the development of such a "network marketing" opportunity, you have to be sure that the company you are going to be working with is legitimate and will provide you an able and dedicated sponsor.
Your sponsor will be somebody that will assist you in learning the ropes of your new business endeavor. He or she is there to help you succeed. The sponsor is a mentor of types. You will also be presented with a selection of resources that will help you to promote your business. These are mainly in the form of electronic promotional kits that will contain personalized URL's with your specific affiliate code embedded, HTML code for banner links and a variety of other pre-designed items. Your sponsor should also help you to understand how to use these effectively and teach you tips and tricks to lessen the time that you must spend to do so.
Your sponsor should be communicative. He should be there readily anytime you need guidance. Sadly, most of the time the sponsor is simply somebody who is in the exact same boat as you are. They really are not experts. You need somebody who's been where you are and overcame the obstacles presented. You need somebody who has been tried by fire and came through triumphant. You want a leader - somebody who can guide you successfully to your own levels of MLM or other type of home-based business success.
When you're trying to develop your home-based business, you are going to encounter rough days. You will feel like quitting. It will seem like it's never going to work. You have to keep reminding yourself that there are some people who do succeed. Your sponsor should remind you of this as well. He should be a positive and enthusiastic uplifter. He should help to keep you on the right track when you're swaying. He should act in the manner of a competitive coach and truly care about leading you to victory. Your success is his success. That's how effective MLM works.
Now, you can't sit around and wait for your sponsor to do everything for you. He or she can only be your mentor - your guide. The first thing that you need to do is research. There are literally thousands of programs to select from on the Internet. As stated before, the majority of them will not be worth wasting your time or money on. Be selective! Take your time and choose wisely. With patience, dedication, creativity and diligence, you can be a success at multilevel marketing. Let your endeavor begin with the selection of a proven and legitimate program with a proven and legitimate sponsor. Ensuring that will level the playing field and allow you to potentially recognize your goals for home-based business fortune.

Tony, Toni, Tone
"I cannot believe he just threw another interception!" "Bench him, no wonder Jerry won't give him a new contract!" "Tony is quite possibly the best quarterback in the NFL right now." "Jerry needs to sign him to a new contract in the locker room!"
I went through a bevy of emotions this past Monday watching my beloved Dallas Cowboys play the Buffalo Bills. Usually if a quarterback turns the ball over 6 times in one game, the team is probably going to loose. Well, not this time. The Cowboys were able to overcome a game full of mistakes to pull off a victory at the very last second. Cowboy's kicker Nick Folk was able to nail a 53 yard field goal not once, but twice as time ran off of the clock. Buffalo Bills head coach Dick Jauron called a time out right before the ball was snapped in an attempt to ice the kicker. His strategy failed to work. Nick came out of the timeout and kicked another 53 yard field goal, except this time the points counted.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo threw 5 interceptions and fumbled the football once, yet he was still able to will his team to a victory. During his post game interview, Romo stated that he never lost confidence and always thought that the Cowboys would win. Romo was either going to be the reason the Cowboys lost or the reason they were able to win. He chose the latter.
Watching Tony Romo throw interception after interception was painful. The Cowboys were riding high off of a 4 game winning streak and could not afford to loose going into next week's game against the un-defeated New England Patriots. The new Cowboys are attempting to establish their own identity. Beating the Patriots would be the first step in doing so. In a locker room that consists of Terrell Owens, it's going to be a challenge to shake Owens "me-first" mentality. However; Owens has yet to become a distraction and Cowboy players have openly embraced his personality. Yet Owens is no longer the center of attention in Dallas. That moniker now belongs to Tony Romo.
Reading Tuesday morning's headlines and listening to sports radio talking heads, one would be inclined to believe that Romo is either the best thing since Troy Aikman or Jerry Jones worst decision since he signed Ryan Leaf. Tony is trying to lead his team to their first playoff victory since 1996. Romo is also in a contract year as he will become a free agent at season's end. Yet with all of the hoopla surrounding the young quarterback, he always seems to stay poised. He never looses confidence and always has a positive outlook. This is the reason why his teammates believe in him and his abilities.
Tony has had a lot of ups and downs over the past year. Last season, he took over for former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Drew Bledsoe during halftime of the team's game versus the New York Giants. The Cowboys did not win the game, but Romo was able to show enough to warrant being named starting quarterback for the remainder of the season. Tony led the Cowboys to the playoffs to face off against the Seattle Seahawks. The now infamous game will forever be engraved in the minds of true Cowboy fans until the end of time. On a potential game winning play, kicker Martin Gramatica was set to kick a field goal that would put the Cowboys ahead with only seconds remaining. When the ball was snapped, Romo fumbled the ball and the Cowboys ended up loosing the game. During the post game new conference, Romo seemed down and there was speculation that his confidence was shot. Tony proved everyone wrong at the start of training camp. He stated that he was so upset because he let his team down, but he never lost confidence in himself or his abilities.
Although Tony plays football for such a polarizing organization, (you either hate the Cowboys or you love them) there is a lesson to be learned from Mr. Romo. Tony's success depends on his approach and attitude toward the game of football. Remember the banner your teacher had nailed to the wall in your third grade elementary class? "Your attitude determines your altitude?" Well it seems as if Tony took that banner to heart.
While Tony Romo has a very long career ahead of him and will make more mistakes, it's important that we recognize his ability to learn from them and move forward. He is not the first or last person in history to display this type of attitude or behavior. However; he is the most talked about quarterback in the NFL right now. The spotlight may beam brighter for him or it may dim. Watching his maturation process has been a fun and agonizing experience. I'm just glad that I'm here to enjoy the ride.
