an air filter goes in your air box like the standard part. an induction kit replaces your air box. the benefits of an induction kit is a cleaner looking engine bay, your engine induction noise sounds better, and you may get a slight rise in power. it may increse your fuel consumption but only by 1 or 2 mpg.
